Why in the world would he yell stuff at Fields? It's still wrong, but at least makes logical sense, if Fields was playing terrible or if he yelled at an opposing player.

As the story goes, Sasser kept yelling, "Put the (n-word) in the game" when Fromm was struggling.

If Sasser yelled something at random people in the crowd (like Cooper did) instead of a Georgia player, he's still on the team most likely.
nope -- the year is 2018 -- you see lots of people lose their jobs or resign, no matter where or who its directed at

Riley Cooper made his comments just a few years ago when the climate about stuff like this was the same. He took a lot of heat and the Eagles took a lot of heat for not cutting him. He was just fined but allowed to keep playing.

He didn't call just anyone that word; he called the hotshot 5-star QB recruit that.

Georgia did the right thing. Now, hopefully the guy makes his apology and gets on with his life and people let it die down.

Sasser was no less wrong than Cooper.

The primary difference being Sasser directed his comments at a fellow student athlete, so UGA had to act.

I think Cooper was yelling at a security guard at a concert.
