I was watching this game and several others at the same time (channel hopping) and missed how it took place. Was he hit or did he just collapse?
Lucky he was just "around the corner" from one, of if not the best hospitals in the state.

I flipped through a little after too. Not sure but it sounds like hit.

If so and had to have “emergency head surgery” and was non responsive but breathing some would think he had to have burr holes for bad intracranial hemorrhage/subarachnoid/subdural. The swelling puts pressure on the brain which can herniate and be fatal.

Total guess though after years of doing trauma surgery.

Doesn’t matter. Just hoping and praying he will be okay. Mason had it right. There is a lot that transcends football and more important than the game.

Terrible situation. I read that they did not know what play the injury occurred on. He went to the sideline just before halftime and collapsed. Scary stuff.

According to the article, he came off the field and then collapsed on the sidelines.
