Posts like this make us sound like Bammers. We lost to the better football team. Seemed like a much improved effort over last weekend though.UGA was going to win this game. The refs made sure of that.
Holding? Nah...
Pass interference? Nah...
Targeting? Nah...
Lined up three inches behind the line? Penalty.
Oh, UGA doesn't have any timeouts left? Injured ref.
Maybe it was just my eyes, but this game seemed like it was over before it started.
Somebody needs a wha burger and an order of French cries...How about a whineken?...Excuses would not have won this game, they were much better than us...PeriodUGA was going to win this game. The refs made sure of that.

Yeah that no call was obvious. So was the no call on the targeting. Pretty flagrant.I missed the game, but saw the highlight of UGA's first TD. There was a pretty clear block in the back. He extended his arms and everything. I guess the officiating was just as bad at my kid's soccer game so it's just a general malaise and lack of professionalism among all officials?
Agree as bad as we played against Florida that hold on the TD pass was just plain bad. DB’s mugging our receivers... those are gut punches
It's not right, but it is what it is. Better athletes and/or teams a lot of times do get the breaks over the lower tier athletes/teams. When we were a power team in the 1990s and early 2000s, we had breaks come our way. I don't like it, but that is the way it is. The better players and teams always get the benefit of a doubt.Does officiating have an impact on a game? Yes I does! In every sport!
2002 I swam for my high school,Shelby county championship meet at UofM, there are rules for how long you stay under water after a turn, I came up in the lead on the last leg of my 200 IM, if I won this I would’ve qualified for state, CBHsswimmer stayed under past the flags which should have dQed him, he swam past me and I placed 2nd , my parents argued with the officials, nobody saw anything , discourage dme and really brought me down, I swam like a rock the rest of the meet, it matters!
Should I have swam harder? Yes, should I have let it get to me? No. But the end result is what mattered.
Because this kid from cBhs was highly recruited and a star he got special treatment, some kid from north memphis who only swam for a few years wouldn’t be allowed to beat the all mighty CBHS swimmer . Oh well. Don’t tell me officiating has nothing to do with sports.its part of the game!
Mean not always, but most of the time. It's not right, but it is what it is. Better athletes and/or teams a lot of times do get the breaks over the lower tier athletes/teams.
