CNN Founder Ted Turner: Network Focuses Too Much on Politics, Needs ‘More Balanced Agenda’

CNN founder Ted Turner said in an interviewset to air this weekend that he believes the cable network's programming is too political these days.

Turner told "CBS Sunday Morning" that he no longer follows the news much, but still watches CNN occasionally and didn't want to criticize them.

"I think they're sticking with politics a little too much," he did say. "They'd do better to have a more balanced agenda. But that's, you know, just one person's opinion."

The former CNN head honcho also revealed that he's suffering from Lewy body dementia, a form of the disease that steadily get's worse over time. "It's a mild case of what people have as Alzheimer's. It's similar to that. But not nearly as bad," Turner told host Ted Koppel.

"Alzheimer's is fatal. Thank goodness I don't have that. But, I also have got … I can't remember the name of it," Turner said before he had to pause. "Dementia. I can't remember what my disease is."

What I find truly remarkable and sad is the majority of left leaning Democrats not only find this behavior acceptable, but want it to continue. In a tit-for-tat world, they honestly believe Garland getting slighted by the Senate is rationale enough for destroying a man's life and family.

Truly pathetic. Truly and utterly sad as to the state of the nation and the childishness that is being acted on currently. And being cheered by many.

Where in the **** did we go so wrong?

I remember when the D's and normal people were calling for an FBI investigation and the bashing they got, but now that Trump did all I hear from the Redhats is nothing. I swear he is in on it.

To be fair, we've had Rs in this thread say they can't wait for the Rs to get the opportunity to do it right back. It's not just about the side one is on. It's how susceptible one is to the "us against them" rhetoric.

There’s no doubt that a new standard has been set and hell will follow.

What will be interesting is the hypocrisy of the reporting when the shoes change feet

When you all think its perfectly acceptable to ruin a person and their family simply because you don't like his leanings and the way you think he may rule that shows the rest of the country how screwed up you and your party is.
