Thank god we haven’t played them the last couple years.

Absolutely. Norvell knows his offenses and has only expanded upon the success that Fuente brought to Memphis.

I'm also biased. Memphian born and raised, spent three semesters at UTK losing my scholly in 2007-2008, transferred back and graduated from UofM. I get triggered by "Tiger High" and people pretending Memphis is not part of the state of Tennessee. "Memphis State" is only acceptable if you're from an older generation or were raised by your grandparents. Nashville is not the end-all-be-all.

Just providing full disclosure there.

May not be counting that because Carolina finished the year ranked 11th iirc... Mid-season versus post-season rankings are always tricky qualifiers.

If you don't qualify your tweet with such critical information, your tweet is wrong.

I think they were 11 in Coaches and 9 in AP at game time. Still, the tweet didn't qualify that so the tweeter gets a zero.

It was definitely odd that smith (or anyone) didn’t destroy the guy that did that to their QB.

You do realize that even CJP himself said he believes the hit was an accident, he was just stumbling. I suspect Smith felt the same since they were just in contact with each other. If he felt it was an accident what's there to retaliate for? And to my knowledge no other player saw it at the time. I realize you're going to believe what you want to believe, but that's the coach's take. When I watch the play, repeatedly, I'm not so sure it was intentional either. But I try not to let my bias affect my view of things. That's just me.

😂😂😂 ok bud. Please show me a post where i said Coleman was ever better than Ty chandler and i will Venmo you 1000$. But of course you can’t because you are just talking out of your arse.

The only thing i said about Reid is i didn’t think he would leave Bc he’s actually been in the 2 deep and we are thin at LB.

Like i said it’s obvious now. There is a personal connection with some fans on here to JG and you’re not allowed to be objective about him.

Here I’ll solve everything. I recant my previous takes on Jg. The kid is lights out. He is tough as nails, like Brett Favre level tough. His arm talent reminds me of Aaron Rodgers and his legs (since he was the top dual threat QB in his class) are close to Vick. He has done everything right this year and is the only bright spot on our team. If only any other group could help him out.

lol why would I slog through a bunch of old dumbass pots of yours about MJ and Lebron? If I wanted to lose brain cells, I’d rather just take a bunch of shots and run my head into a wall.

You definitely talked up Coleman and how much the coaches “loved his versatility” and how he’d get so many touches. Calling him the best, admittedly, was an exaggeration on my part, but you had him penciled in as the #2 guy on the depth chart at one point. I remember that specifically.

And in the spring you talked up Reid and how the coaches liked him on 3rd down better than guys like Ignont.

No need to default to sarcasm and false praise of JG. I know being disingenuous and deflecting or misrepresenting others’ words is your go-to move and all, but I’ve really got no miscollections about JG’s faults and how limited he is as a QB. I’m definitely hoping to see someone like Shrout, Maurer, or even Taulia maybe jump in and take the reigns in 2019. I doubt JG’s got what it takes to elevate the team.

However I do find it laughably transparent how you rode Chryst’s jock all offseason, backpedaled once it was apparent to all how far behind he was (despite JG not being a good QB either), and have jumped on the UF debacle as on opportunity to beat his drum again.

But go ahead and continue to cast everyone calling out your obvious pro-KC anti-JG bias as irrational JG if it helps you sleep. I don’t mind people criticizing JG. I don’t think he’s that good either. I’ve even advocated giving Chryst some time as the starter to see if a new dynamic would be better for the offense. It is frustrating to see people do it because they have an agenda, though.

I thought they finished 4th

Yes, I believe they finished 4th. As stated above, I believe one poll had them in the top 10 and another did not when we played. Our win prevented them from a possible chance at the BCS title. They ended up beating #5 Mizzou and #6 Clemson but had two SEC losses. Mizzou went to the SECCG and lost to Auburn, who played for he title.

Just Because i think someone is good or isn’t doesn’t mean there is an agenda. I’m sorry that one of the people i don’t think good just so happens to be your favorite player on the team.

I think LeBron is the best basketball player ever. That’s not an agenda that’s an opinion. I think randy moss is the best WR ever that’s an opinon, not an agenda. I think Barry Sanders is the best RB ever, that’s an opinon not an agenda.

Like i said, i can absolutely torch Abernathy, Jordan, Kongbo, etc and it’s no big deal. But where some people have 1000% locked in on JG as the QB of the future from the moment he stepped foot on campus it’s blasphemy or agenda driven if someone has anything negative to say about him.

Remember: There’s always the ignore button if you don’t like what i have to say.
More of your bullshizz strawman crap! Disagree with everybody’s favorite self-declared expert and suddenly the subject is “your favorite player!” You are the worst example of what you accuse others. “Blasphemy” is a paranoid catchphrase. Ask Lansford if I declared anything about JG...more hot air unsubstantiated blabber from you. I know exactly where the ignore button is...and your torn up azz is going to be the one using Google maps to locate it!

I’ll disagree on McBride. I’ve never heard anyone legitimately say he was in the future plans.

Anyway, I don’t think Shrout is a sure thing by any stretch. But like I said, Helton hand picked him for his system. He’s going to get an opportunity - I would almost guarantee it.

There’s something to what @HankHill is insinuating about JG. There’s something missing there. I don’t know what it is. But I do know his teammates don’t really respect him.
When they go to sleep when Chryst gets on the field...is that respect?
