You do realize that the interior of our OL has been the bigger issue so far, right?
I’m well aware, I already admitted Richmond didn’t have a bad game vs Florida. Doesn’t change the fact he would not have started on 16’ Pitt or this years Mizzou. Just because their a bad program doesn’t mean everyone of our players would start there

Honest question, do you follow CFB extremely close outside the Vols? It doesn’t appear like it...

I’m not blaming everything at all on JG. That’s the problem around here. You can’t criticize him without people getting their pitch Forks.

Oh bull f***ing s***. You’re getting crap today because you made the moronic comment below and offered nothing substantive to back it up.

That’s a big jump to make. They are a lot of QBs that find a way to be productive In worse situations than ours.

He’s obviously got a lot of room to grow and needs to badly if we want to win an SEC game this year, but you’ve differed nothing but lazy takes based on recruiting rankings and tried to act like our OL is much more competent than they are.

I said we need to get the ball out quicker, which is scheme and player...
No disagreement here, but your previous posts came off as implying that that was all on JG.

I think JG is athletic enough to be moving in the pocket more making it hard on Defenders to get shots on him. He doesn’t move well in the pocket imo.
.

He’s still got to improve here, but some of the times he’s been hit weren’t his fault either. The first time he was hit and fumbled vs UF he would have been hit no matter how quickly he got the ball out.

And i think he’s missed several downfield shots by underthrowing and floating them. Thats not good for someone who is supposed to be oozing with arm talent.

Yeah but he’s thrown some deep balls that were good enough that guys didn’t come down with too.

The biggest difference in arm talent between him and Chryst is that JG can consistently hit a moving target 7 yards down the field and Chryst can’t.

Idc who plays QB for us. I’ve said all long thatvwe are gonna be below average there either way. I think it’s worth a shot to change it especially considering JG is banged up.
Don’t act like you didn’t have a hard on for Chryst all offseason. You saw him throw in shorts once and came on here saying he’d be the guy.

Both our QBs aren’t very good. JG has little awareness or pocket presents and Chryst has the arm of a JV QB. The OL doesn’t need give either a chance to do much well. If we had a great offensive mind who can adapt to mot rosters, maybe one of them could be average or better. With what we’ve got in the trenches and an inexperienced OC, neither have a chance this year to do more than hand off and be a tackling dummy.

Exactly. And then went on to say Peterman, Mizzou and Vandy this year had less to work with on the Oline than JG. When called out he said Smith and Richmond would start. The only example he could give for Richmond was “Talented and athletic” lmao and then tried to act like Pitt in 16’ and Mizzou this year doesn’t have an elite Oline smh🤦‍♂️

Richmond had offers from bama, texas, Ohio state, auburn, Clemson, LSU, Oklahoma etc. but you are right...Pitt and Missouri wouldn’t want him. You win.
There are highly recruited busts every recruiting cycle. Just because lots of teams want a guy as a recruit doesn’t mean they’d trade a starter from him 3-4 years into his career if he busts.

I thought KC would be the guy because i don’t think JG is very good. I thought we could use veteran experience at the position. I said right before the year started that Jg was the favorite to start and he’s starting. I also said multiple times that no matter who plays QBs for us, i don’t think we were gonna get good qb play either way. So not sure how that spells “hard on” for someone.

dunno but he's throwing in a rope tonight.

Cousins hasn't been bad either... Really well played offensive game

Yeah and Gurley as the RB.

They look good

Mcvay is a genius man. They keep catching Minnesota with a LB on someone in the slot. They are killing them with it.

They are like ok play dime and we will just run Gurley or play nickel and you have a LB covering cupp or cooks.
