Dude you are one of the weirdest posters on this board

Weird for pointing out how stupid some on VN are?

Weird is posting repeatedly about how the coach who was fired effed up the game and practice plans this year. That is the height of weirdness.

Maybe OP is just hoping to get a bunch of likes so he can start his day off feeling like he fits in...

You don't know a thing about football if you thought things were gonna go much different. Go back to your baba board Gump.
Who said anything about it going much better? You know what they say about assuming?
BTW, love the Bama fan stuff...very original.

Butch isn't here and his players didn't come out of high school devoid of talent or the desire to win. Up to Pruitt to make the most of what he has. Surely some of the problems can be corrected by solid coaching, scheming for the horses we have, and development / culture changes. If not then buckle up for a rough ride.

This is about as close as I can get in one picture. View attachment 170110

Yes and the problem now is the O line. It is what it is until recruiting overcomes it. Outside of Trey and Kennedy, the rest can hopefully work like heck! Wayna Morris is a huge start. The rest of our team is really looking decent and improving. The O line really want get much better other than scheming around the issues. 7-5 still gettable.

Go Vols!

You are correct. I couldn't agree with you more. The O Line caused Pope to fumble. Everyone can see that
The other turn overs were the O Lines fault also. The problem is that most people on here are football amature and don't realize that when a db is penalized for pass inteferience, it is the O Lines fault
Also the O Line is responsible for our defensive schemes and tackling on defense
Everyone can clearly see that, right?

It we would have kept Dooley we would have Sam Pittman and Jim Chaney he would have either got the 3-4 fixed our had another DC he would have gotten better and if not by this year a coach could have took over with a sec built offense . Time given to get are ducks in a row to make this place attractive for a big time hire. This is why I want to give CJP time he knows what we need with SEC coaches and he can build it. Need stability also. Butch's offense is not Tennessee football and glad it's gone.

You’re thinking Butch and Haslam have nothing to do with the current state of the program? How do you figure?
Who said anything about Haslam? I.sure didnt.
Butch is no longer the coach of the team, therefore he isnt responsible for the product.on the field. And let me clarify that....let's not fool ourselves and think that the majority of these players are not d1 level athletes. Current, they look like an unorganized mess and thats on pruitt. Cjb played a hand in why we are not currently competing for championships as recruiting and development has been to.that level. But there is a difference between championship level and looking like a bad fcs team. Currently we are far closer to bad fcs level than we are chamionshiop...and that's on pruitt.

We'll see what happens when new governor gets in office, Randy Boyd coming in as president seems like a Haslam move...

This is nonsense, 5-7 maybe. Let’s get realistic.

Which practice plan and game plan were those two responsible for this season? Is CBJ the reason we ran it on 1st down all day? Maybe he's the one that has caused our line to suck way worse than they did when he was here.

It amazes me how much control he still has over our football team

Some of yall are damned ridiculous in your blind hatred for CBJ.
When boy butch recruited the majority of the players, coached the majority of the players (for years), and made them champions of life-for years. I think it is safe to say boy butch's influence is still quite strong.

Hopefully not as strong as the coach who has had them for 9 months. That would not be a very indicative of a strong leader.

I guess nine months (part time), remember these guys are students-go to class etc., is long enough to change someone, perhaps we change criminal sentences etc., for if nine months, part time, is enough, to make huge changes in large group (as long as they have the right leader)-then we've been doing a lot of thing wrong. With this new found wisdom, maybe we should shorten the time for a degree (BS, MS, PhD) by several years, etc. Thanks for the insight!

Seriously? You're comparing a football team in college with a group of folks who have been convicted of a crime? You're comparing teaching football technique, scheme and football philosophy to getting a degree?

The previous coach had them at time as well?

Hopefully CJP wi be as wildly successful as the kool aid drinkers think he will be. However the data collected to this point doesn't give a thinking person much hope.

7-5 still gettable, ok I think Pruitt should get coach of the year if we somehow go 7-5, don't you?
