I can see it. Their offense sucks and we basically shut them down outside of that 67 yard Catch and run. So don’t turn the ball over (obviously didn’t work) and have a good shot.

It was 23-3 close to halftime when we were driving. If we score right there then we got the ball at halftime and we’re down 13 and we have all the momentum. So as god awful as the first half was, it was still very much a game.

Its the mentality that sickens me. The staff has to know that part of the florida game and how we go into a shell every year for like forever. You gotta shock em out of it. Its not a normal game.

I respect this analysis. I just think we can still keep this mindset and not be predictable. Herm comes back to mind when he said, "you play to win the game." Do you just worry about yourself and try to win? Or, do good coaches scheme each game according to what the opponent presents?

On the safety play, we could have "spread" out the defense with a formation that is not the "spread" attack. The NE Patriots adjust all of the time to what the opponents bring to the game. You roll out, dink and dunk, and scheme around a below average OL. That's just me though.
I agree, we do need to add some wrinkles; but, we don't need to stray too far from who we want to be.

Sounds eerily close to the Butch Jones mantra of a perfect offensive system that you force the wrong players into. It's the OL version of Justin Worley running a read option.
Butch had Josh Dobbs standing on the sideline both in '13 and '14, and still chose Justin Worley and Nathan Peterman to run his spread. Pruitt doesn't have the equivalent to Josh Dobbs on the OL, standing on the sideline.

So should we treat it like any other game, and just play? Or should we treat it as different, and play different? Seems like we did the latter pretty well.

Hopefully they are allowing Osovet to provide input on offense. He probably knows a thing or 2 about working with what you have from juco level and he developed some nice OL out there. King of the RPO. We need something. Lining up acting like we are tougher than you at working with these softies

Assuming we hold on to everyone. That’s if we are going to keep advancing blindly into heavy enemy fire, recruiting is the ONLY thing that matters.

Butch held on to everyone his first full cycle. It helped that there were a lot of legacies. But if we start suffering from our results on the field in the 2019 class, and the staff keeps doing what they are doing with the scheme, then we are truly F’ed.
I don't think there's a whole lot of similarities between cjp and CBJ other than they both coached here.

I haven't once gotten the impression there are any correlations to be made between how the last staff recruits vs how this one does.

8 turnovers in 4 games. Feels like we have progressively gotten worse on offense.
Not good, especially when you don't have the talent to maybe compensate for them. This team has to do everything perfect when it comes to intangibles: turnovers, penalties, unforced errors...to even have a chance to win.
