It was BS and Ainges take is spot on.

If it dont start a fight short after the cat gets remind pretty quick over the next couple plays.

I read that JG went off with his arm in a sling. So knee is maybe ok, but the other? Any word? At the time I wondered about a collarbone injury.

Yes. It was a dirty hit. But the officials on the field weren't willing to do anything about it. Nor will the SEC do anything about it.

I’ll pile on. Refs failed to call hands to the face on big play, the hit in JG was blatant and should have drawn a serious penalty. Constant holding. Callaway was mugged, held, etc all game long. How much did gators pay these refs?

It could easily be penalized but calling it dirty implies intent. Judging that in slow motion is a stretch and makes it look like there's time to contemplate. In real speed it looks much less intentional and just trying to get to the QB.

73 should have gotten into a fight with the Gator over that hit.

Beyond dirty and the o line is supposed to be stepping up for their QB and RBs

This is my one bright look at least our coaches are from the sec and know what kind of players it takes to win in this league and the kind of attitude. That what the last coaching regime didn't know. And now without a QB that is smart and knew when to run left it's been hell.

I'm just taking issue with the conclusion that he was trying to hurt the guy. He's on the ground, scrambling to get to the QB in less than a second. Slowing it down to take 5 seconds is not a fair basis in which to judge it.

No problem. I know last night was hard to watch. There were a lot of occasions where you could have gotten a call, but I doubt it would have made much difference. It just looked like a lack of intensity by end of the first half.

I’d dare say, there wasn’t much intensity from start to finish, except on Florida’s team. Our players looked like a deer in headlights. It’s just going to take longer than some in our fanbase want.

We seem stuck between second and third gear. Has been that way for ten years. But that in a sense breeds complacency and the delusion that we are just a few fixes away from competitive again.

You guys are rebuilding your transmission from scrap, having burned it up when all the fluid leaked out a few years back.

I'm not sure which is worse

It was absolutely dirty. No way he didn’t know the ball was already out and he was targeting JG low. Should have been a penalty.

It’s really sad when they are all about player safety with targeting and helmet to helmet, reviewing and tossing guys, handing out personal fouls even if it wasn’t intentional.

Yet crap like this gets a pass. Ridiculous.

Good game to you guys, you took advantage and won.

I don't agree. His head is down, he moves toward him and looks to me like he tried to stop himself just as he got there.

It should have resulted in a penalty but you can't say it was an intentional effort to hurt him.

That's my point, though. We lost to Kentucky for the first time in three decades and Gator fans shrug, reasoning its part of some undefined process and "we're almost there." No. No we aren't. We are a LOOOONNNNGGG way from there.

Your fan base is not going to up with mediocrity. I fear that Florida fans are just too used to it.

This was a dirty hit, the ref saw it, he did not call it. The refs also did not call at least 4 pass interference calls during the game that were blatant. Guarantano may have some damage in his knee, I wonder when that will be released?
