The onside kick was a great call and a great kick. We just played it wrong. We had three guys all going for the ball. If one of them takes their guy out like you’re supposed to... then one of our guys is 1000% recovering.
I absolutely love pruitts aggressiveness. Loved the onside kick call and love the fact that he has gone for it on 4th down in the first 4 games more than butch did his whole tenure at UT.

Yea I agree, I loved the call

That's the thing. I'm not sure we can consistently get top 5-10 classes to be competitive anymore. We are going to be battling it our for 2nd in the SEC east for the foreseeable future.
Let's just worry about getting good enough to compete with, and regularly beat Vandy and Kensucky again, and then worry about taking the next step. This program was nuked into near oblivion by Butch Jones. This is all on him and his puppet masters.

It’s just really disheartening because you have a program like Arizona State, who is 2-1 and giving a damn good Washington team fits right now.

And we can’t even stay on the field with a crappy Florida team.
I’m not expecting playoffs. But damn there is no reason we shouldn’t be 8-4 every single year no matter what
Agree.

This isn't fun. We're not even competitive. And Florida is not a good football team.

I told my buddy that the loser of this game should feel pretty bad about itself.

Mission accomplished.

Mike Leach would have gotten us there. Would he have won a National championship here? Highly doubtful, but at this point I just want to have a decent argument when everyone asks who the second best team in the SEC east is.

I love mike leach. I have no idea how he would’ve done here in the long run but it would be one hell of a ride

Thing is, I don't know what their philosophy is. Is it to try to adapt to who they have? Or is Pruitt basically trying to drill in a specific offense, and expecting the players to just adapt, and taking his lumps in the meantime?

Pruitt said they were going to adapt the scheme to fit the personnel until they have the personnel to run what they want. Not sure what they're doing, but if they didn't trust players before, they're really not going to trust them after tonight.

Its the same as last year trying to fit square pegs into a round hole

I actually really like this. I mean, obviously we weren’t going to win lol. But he’s right there’s no difference in 47 and 40, id rather a coach be like “you ain’t first you’re last” than trying to make the score look OK and take it as a moral victory
