2014 is just too fresh. They were all picking us that year and we found a way to lose. And I think that team was significantly better than this one.

We CAN win, but we’re going to need some luck. We’re certainly due for some.

That feel when I was at the game 3rd row on the 30 yard line. When we knocked out their starter and they put in their mobile QB, I knew what was coming next. We literally clutched defeat from the jaws of victory in that game.

That being said, I don't think that happens with a competent coaching staff like we have now under Pruitt. Pruitt knows how to make adjustments. The lack of adjustments was one of Lyle's many fatal flaws. Plus our current defensive alignments put us in much better matchups during short yardage situations where a mobile QB would take us apart in the past. Less opportunities by design for playmakers to find space quickly during short passing routes or designed zone/read. If Emory does play, we need someone like Bituli to put his face mask in the middle of his chest, wrap up, and drive him into the ground. Control the line of scrimmage, set the edge, do not turn the ball over, and be solid on special teams. If we achieve those 4 goals, we win this game.

We’ll see. There’s no reason to freak out though just because we’ve been beaten by backups before. That has nothing to do with this game.

I was there, too. I’ve never been so upset. I drove 6.5 hours for that game. Thought there was no way we’d lose after the showing we put up against a solid Georgia team the week before.

Long, lonnnnnnnnnng drive back home.

USC and Candy neck and neck
17-14 USC Vandy has the ball.

Vandy is going to be one of the best teams in the SEC East this year. I hate saying it, but their defense is stacked, especially the secondary. Big physical playmaking cornerbacks. Kyle Shurmer is putting in a heck of a performance this year. This game will be decided by which QB imposes their will on this game. Vandy has the major edge at QB. Bentley has regressed imho.

Damn KSU only has 77 tyds
Yeah, they are bad, main reason I think Kentucky covers plus 9.5 against MSU. If UT beats Florida, we could sweep KY, Vandy and SC just like the good ol' days. Mizzou too. Imo, every team in the East is about even, except for Georgia

Ha Ha, only at BD stadium with AL will there be no flag, no call, about to snap the ball on the next play, then all of a sudden they need to review for targeting... and of course it is, and an ejection to boot. Guess Bama decided with A&M's last drive, they needed to shake A&M up a bit ...
And it was their captain. I F'ing Hate bama. A blind person could see the refs are for them.

I’m hoping the crowd gets more amped. Really no buzz at all here. Vol Walk was weak and Tailgating Crowd was very laid back. Has the feel of last weeks UTEP crowd.

Very few Gator fans sprinkled in. Nothing like normal visiting fans.

Thanks! Interesting to see we are right there with them based on this Composite...
Yeah, still think Jimbo walked into an easier situation though. Sumlin and staff did at least develop the talent, even if he made some bad decisions that cost a few games.

Pruitt inherited... well, something.
