I have seen the opposite. More OL failures have been missed assignments than getting whipped with a hat on a hat.
This is exactly what’s happening. We are still transitioning from a zone blocking scheme to a man blocking scheme. The OL is having to think more because now the assignments are hat on hat. We saw it the very first play of the WV game. They are learning and we will get better in the interior as the season progresses.

Nothing to see here! Move along. Just needed a break from my Hooked on Phonics lesson.

Jahmir Johnson is getting whipped hat on hat. He seems to do much better when he pulls and get a hat on a 2nd level defender, but he is just flat out getting abused at the LOS. He needs another offseason in the S&C program.

Left G and Right T play needs to be fixed to the best extent possible. But that will take the season playing out to get to the final product because there are no perfect answers for this season. Practice and play in games well, or get recruited over.

Gyasi Mattison committed to Memphis. They get another WR under everybody’s radar.

Was a player I really liked, but it’s all about numbers.

During a recent podcast, VQ talked about him being a possible blue or grey shirt or whatever.

Wish him well at Memphis.

I have absolutely no confidence about the game this week...how many times have we played them when we were the better team, but come away with the L?

Regardless, this gets my blood flowing every year for this game. Enjoy (and, if you're not wiping tears from laughter throughout most of this, there's something wrong with you).
