I’ve said it a lot of times, but I’ll say it again: if our OL can just get to the point where they can cut out the mental mistakes and get a body on a body every play, I think our offense could be decent.End of the day, the SEC is a LOS conference. I think WVa already showed us what we've got in the trenches but some need more convincing, which they're about to get over the next few games. If we can't push an SEC DL, we have no chance.
They've improved every game and should continue to improve as they get more minutes together. The ol struggles aren't a surprise to anyone like hillbilly implied. We knew it would take time. The difference is some of us think they can continue to improve and some don't think they will. And some, like hillbilly, seem to want this team to fail because he doesn't like Pruitt. Most of the starters on the ol weren't really even practicing together until the last week of camp. They've played 2 games together and hopefully they can stay healthy through the season and look better each game even if the competition gets tougher.I’ve said it a lot of times, but I’ll say it again: if our OL can just get to the point where they can cut out the mental mistakes and get a body on a body every play, I think our offense could be decent.
Our talent at the skill positions is good enough that we should be able to hang with our opponents not named UGA, Auburn, or Bama if the OL can just do that much.
For the life of me, I can’t understand why they’ve been so bad about doing that so far. The fact that we haven’t seen them do it consistently yet makes me pessimistic about the chances of things suddenly coming together for them during our death march in October.
I've thought the same thing. Seems like more often than not the OL isn't getting whipped more missed assignments. Not sure if it's a scheme change that's been hard for them to pick up on or what. Hopefully it comes together soon.I’ve said it a lot of times, but I’ll say it again: if our OL can just get to the point where they can cut out the mental mistakes and get a body on a body every play, I think our offense could be decent.

Gator fans may be smelling the rose of a coming L. If you read between the lines of how each squad's seasons are going and the trajectory of each team, they should see the doom that's coming to them Saturday night. I will be there rowdy and relentless, ready to give the gators hell from the jump. The majority of tickets available are in their sections
No one blocks perfectly every play, but I agree. Way too many whiffs and execution issues. It seems to be getting better, just not nearly quickly enough for me.I’ve said it a lot of times, but I’ll say it again: if our OL can just get to the point where they can cut out the mental mistakes and get a body on a body every play, I think our offense could be decent.

That's why I think they will improve throughout the season. Most of the issues should clear up with experience and continuity. I think some of it is scheme change but more than anything I think its just that most of them didn't get a chance to play together for spring or most of fall camp. That's tough on a young inexperienced ol.I've thought the same thing. Seems like more often than not the OL isn't getting whipped more missed assignments. Eh idk. There was some real optimism about the OL coming out of fall camp and they haven’t looked all that different against ETSU or UTEP than they did against WVU.They've improved every game and should continue to improve as they get more minutes together. What I keep going back to. I think we're decent in just about every other area, but we are so bad on the o line it won't matter. We struggled at times to handle ETSU and UTEP. When I say at times, I mean on the reg. If we don't win Saturday we're looking at another 4 or 5 win season. Even I didn't think we'd be that bad.End of the day, the SEC is a LOS conference. Our fans have a higher opinion of Florida than their own fans lol

I've visited the florida board. They don't have a lot of optimism. Most think the game is a toss up. A few have predicted a win and a few have predicted a loss due to first SEC road game. I've watched all 3 of their games and they are not good. At all.
