Kavanaugh Confirmation

Lol. You mean that thing that is often inadmissible in court? Not sure how many women/democrats/crazy people you know but if people keep telling themselves the same lie over and over they will eventually believe it. I refer you to one of the many Russian collusion threads for examples.

It's usually the first thing spun up on the spin cycle.. "take a polygraph". That doesn't mean it's any more reliable than the purpoted accuracy of the test.

I think it's even more telling that his name is "Brett".. I think that's enough to be convicted of attempted date rape in most teen movies.

True.

Kavanaugh got baited into unequivocally denying that it ever happened. The Dems held this in their back pocket for 3 months along with the psychologist's notes and the passed polygraph. His nomination is in doubt for sure now.

Democrat. Professor. Psychologist. California. Everything about that screams "no dude would ever intentionally look at me".

There was drinking involved, but for some reason I want to see the bathing suit pics. Though by saying this, I'll never be able to use the #metoo hashtag without it being considered sarcasm.

She had a one piece...all I need to know to NOT want to see it/her.

Clarence says 'HI"

No, his nomination is dead in the water. Sexual harassment does not equal attempted sexual assault in this day in time. It's a he said/she said situation and regardless if the police clear him (I'd say there does need to be an investigation even 35 years later) the stigma is still going to remain with him. I'd imagine he'll be lucky to stay on the Circuit Court bench depending on the outcome.

Regardless, it was still a dirty political trick of the highest order to wait until the week of the vote for this to come out. Feinstein should be ashamed of herself for waiting this long, wasting this much time on the nomination and hearings and trying to score points with the voting base.

I dare anyone to argue otherwise.

You may be right about his nomination being dead. My initial reaction to the accuser shedding the anonymity, was that she'd just be dismissed as part of a plot and ignored by the majority.

As far as dirty trick.. Yeah, if there was any benefit of the doubt given to Feinstein before, she'll probably now be content to be thought a conniving genius rather than dropping the ball on a #metoo matter.

I'm still not sure the accuser had planned on going public, but that doesn't matter now, regardless.

All this is just too "convenient" to be taken seriously imo.
The other person IN THE ROOM, says it did not happen.
She admits that she was drinking also. To the point that she "does not remember how she got home that night".

You can not throw away a man's career over repressed, who knows if even true, memories.

Disagree that his nomination is dead in the water at least right now. Kavanaugh and Judge have both categorically denied. Supposedly two other people were present at the party but if they cannot be identified or stay silent then it’s they said/she said. Plus you have the support letter from what 65 females present at the school at the time?

I’d say Thomas’s was worse optics. But that was a different era. If the parties stay as is now I’d say he goes thru.

Is this sarcasm? LOL

I'd dare say you are correct on the first point. However, someone figured it out in advance. I saw in the WaPo article she shunned interviews from a couple of media sources about Kavanaugh. Now that could have been unrelated, but I'm not a big believer in coincidence. Or someone in Feinstein's office leaked her name to put the pressure on her to come forward into the light. Wouldn't doubt that in the least.

On the second point, nobody will use the word "genius" in regards to this situation. She didn't drop the ball on a sexual assault, she sat on it, wasted a lot of time and did so as a pure partisan trick. She very easily could have, back in August that is, held a closed door meeting with the committee and explained what was going on. While there is serious partisan bickering and fighting that goes on in Congress, not a single member of the Judiciary Committee would have allowed the hearings to move forward with such a report in hand. And with that, cue the liberal mouthbreathers screeching "OMG! UH UH! YOU'RE WRONG! RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE!"

Feinstein didn't because she wanted to make the big political splash. There was nothing genius about that. It just shows she's not above any pettiness that goes on these days.

Yeah, I suppose the "genius" part would exist mostly in her own mind.

LOL, you think the other person is going to admit to being a party in attempted MURDER?

FIFY........

Like I said before, give you a couple more days and K will be a full fledged trafficker.
The woman carries NO, ZERO credibility as she admits that she was also drinking.

However, Ford told The Post she did not recall exactly who owned the house, how she came to be at the house, or how the gathering was arranged. She remembered only that the house was in Montgomery County, near a country club, and that parents were not present.

Naa, she was not drunk.......no way.

This matters? Plenty of women have been sexually assaulted while intoxicated. Doesn't make them any less of a victim than the sober ones. Unless, of course, you want to play the card of "she was asking for it/shouldn't have been so whoreish/known what she was getting into/etc."

No, don't bring up Bill Clinton either. And no, Kavanaugh isn't guilty in my mind until the entire truth comes out.

Let an investigation come out. Let the truth come out. Regardless, the vote will be put on hold until this is cleared up. Or else the slim majority lead the GOP currently has in the Senate will evaporate quicker than an ice cube in hell.

“Now I feel like my civic responsibility is outweighing my anguish and terror about retaliation," Ford told The Post.

Weeell of course you do.
