Excellent news, everyone!!

My liver shows no signs of damage and no real signs of the auto immune liver disease. Looks to be fatty liver. That is light years better than what they are saying it could be. It's like the difference between General Neyland and the love child of Butch and Dooley!!

I have to lose 25 pounds and take 800 units of vitamin E a day..

A nice surprise to end my day today. Thanks for all your well wishes and kind words...

Now, to lose 25 pounds...

Thank God! I've been wondering about you. I was gonna text you, but I know you've had a lot going on and didn't wanna bother you. Added joy to an already great day.

Great to hear this news my friend! To lose your weight just think about losing to Vandy and Kentucky, your stomach will feel so bad you can’t eat 🤣. The prayers for you apparently are working so how are my prayers for Melissa coming along? I hope she is getting better every day? Thanks for keeping us updated, we’re all rooting for both of y’all.

this helped me lose 30 pounds and kept it off - ask your Dr if you can try it -- other than that try diabetic diets even though you arent diabetic - they are designed to lose weight ( I know they are blah, but they work better than any of the fad ones)

Cinnamon is better on toast.
Cinnamon is just weird to me. It fawks with me psychologically. Hard to explain but I don't like cinnamon, yet I love cinnamon toast, cinnamon pecan cream cheese rolls, cinnamon apple pop tarts, etc. I like it in this drink I drink every day. But I hate cinnamon.

How'd your first week go? Making headway on your goals?

This week was the start of a slow turn in my diet. Cut back on carbs a pretty good amount, but haven't gone crazy yet. More of me cooking at home, which is always an adventure. Just small changes right now. Working up to more.
That cutting out carbs is tough! Temptation is everywhere.

I've never been through what you are currently experiencing, however, I did put on about 15 pounds while taking 30 days to drive from NC to AK, with several stops to visit family along the way. For about 60 days after that trip I cut all carbs and soda and lost 25 pounds. Being military and knowing I had to weigh-in shortly after arriving at my new duty station was my main motivator.

yep those darn carbs will do it -- best cut all breads, pasta, processed foods and almost all sugars --- eat baked or grilled chicken, baked pork chops and turkey for a month and the weight comes off

Been a tough couple weeks. She had another brain bleed, so they rushed here to bowling green. They monitored it and she is finally in the clear from that. So they sent her to another rehab facility near the hospital in bowling green. That just happened today.
