With the new redshirt rules I’m sure freshman playing time is up all over FBS.

I follow a couple of Florida guys (@edsbs and that crew) and they’re all turning on Grantham and not Mullen at this juncture.

Exactly. I watched the entire game and their offense consisted of a bad QB who couldn’t pass and no running game. 2nd half was mostly the QB throwing up prayers and hoping for a flag. They looked unprepared and mentally weak.

UK wanted that game more and they did it by running the ball. Snell had like 175 yards rushing.

Really looking forward to seeing what our offense does vs UF. They lost a starting corner to an ACL tear as well. And our D should be able to get a few turnovers due to that QB is not accurate at all. He’s bad.

Probably but I’d be interested to see the stat. We’re starting/playing them everywhere except QB, OL, and LB and not just garbage time. I wouldn’t be surprised if we had almost all freshman DBs starting by mid season.

Was about to come post this. Bob tried to give him a layup easy compliment and he wouldn’t do it.

All that matters is winning - I KNOW THAT - but he’s not building any good-will if it goes south.

Weird that he won’t take the layups.

He's a hired gun. Folks need to understand that. Alabama comes calling, he's gone.

For sure. And I think we’re all okay with that if he wins.

But it’s still weird that he won’t compliment the program in any way. He’s making himself an outsider when the entire fan base would love to rally around him and accept him.

It’s not just Alabama, either, ya know? We’re not paying him a ton at $3.8M a year. Could just be a guy who always looks for the next biggest paycheck.

True but he appears to NGAF about anything but getting better and winning. Talking to Bob in front of cameras is a waste of his time, IHO.

Maybe it’s just how the dude is. He’s not the type to get excited about anything, ever. Winning football games and coaching is all that matters to him. All the other stuff is nonsense to him imo

You’d defend it if he took a **** on the desk and used Bob’s tie to wipe. Your allegiance lies with the program, which is great, but your opinion of what you “love” in a football coach is totally fluid depending on who the guy in charge is that day/month/week/year.

That’s not true. He’s complimented the program many times. I’ve seen him talk about the power of the T and how it recruits nationally. He’s just not about fake fluff at times it seems. He’s a ball coach. Not a salesman.

He does THAT and I personally see to it that he gets a statue that dwarfs Neyland’s.
