I think high school talent in Mississippi is under-rated by recruiting services. The state has produced more hall of famers per capita, and second to only Louisiana in active NFL players per capita.

Shoop’s problem was probably a combination of 1) crap s&c, 2) injuries, 3) some weak position coaches (Thigpen), and 4) Butch meddling (look who started at mlb over Bituli).

I’m not sure anyone could make chicken salad out of that chickens!t situation.

I wish the NCAA would give 2 challenges to each team for review. If you challenge and win, you keep 2 challenges. If you lose, you lose the challenge. Challenges would include whether a hit is illegal and targeting. That way every little thing doesn’t get reviewed.

If they did, which I don't agree with, it had to be intentional grounding. They said he had possession of the ball when his arm was going forward, implying they think it was a pass. No receivers anywhere in the area.

I think a little bit of everything. A little bit of Butch, but we also had terrible injuries at the end of 2016. Latroy Lewis was playing tackle. Plus, MSU hasn’t played anyone tough yet. KSU is not known to be an offensive juggernaut. Simmons on their DL was a 5 star and recruited by everyone. Leo Lewis is a 4 star at LB. They also have a safety who Pruitt recruited to UGA.

It is odd...My guess it was a combination of pathetic S&C+bad practicing+bad fundamental teaching+badly overrated talent+Botching meddling.

I also think Shoop is probably a good play caller, but not a good fundamentals, or technique teacher. Those two things are not necessarily mutually exclusive imo.

I read an article someone shared on here the other day. It was a Q & A with Fred White. He basically said that Butch Jones just did not know the game of football. Explains a lot.

Simmons and Sweat will both likely be pretty high draft picks. Simmons might slide a little bcuz of the off field issue

First time in Knoxville in over 4 years. What are some solid places to park that won’t require a ton of walking?

Never done one of the shuttles before but wouldn’t be against it.
