That, to me, looks like Warrior taking an awful angle. Osborne hits and forces Stills more inside and Warrior tries to open the hips to change angles after he’s already committed to meeting the ball carrier 2 yds further down the field. I think if Warrior tries to lay a hit there he misses both guys and goes flying out of the play.

Terrible angle led to him being out of position imo

Why wasn't there a penalty called here for the WR stepping out of bounds?
Someone stated that since Osborne escorted him OOB the refs consider it forced so he’s still able to participate in the play and can touch the ball. I’m not up on the bylaws though so I could be wrong.

Dude I could watch the tape a million times and I will never stoop low enough to question a player "not even trying". Only the lowest common demomitor fan that has never played a sport would think Warrior "didn't even try".

Ingnroance
I don't want to get in the middle of your spat. I'm fairly new to the conversation so I don't know what point/agenda everyone has. However did you see the play that Sills was "forced out" of bounds, came back in, and caught a 15ish yard pass. After he caught it he ran about 10ish yards. Warrior comes up and completely avoids tackling him. I'm not saying he is trash. And I'm not a "sky is falling" fan. But let's be real. I can't think of a reason he didn't attempt to tackle him besides laziness/lack of effort. My 7 y/o who doesn't play football could notice that.

That being sad I don't have a problem with our staff, execution (it's week 1 of new systems on both sides of the ball), or game plan. I think Helton would admit he made some mistakes and I have confidence he'll clean them up as the season progresses and he gains experience.

But in my opinion there is no excuse for the play described above.

I think that had to have been why

I usually give some credence to what Matthews' says, but he's wrong there. R. Johnson was the one that missed the call...he went right by his assignment to find a linebacker to block, which wasn't necessary with the play that had been called.

Yeah That was Johnson miss. Kennedy noticed it immediately and tried to change what he was doing. Kennedy responsibility was the 2nd level Mike. However considering the play we were running. I'm. It sure why we didn't just line up and block straight up there. Unless it was supposed to be a quick easy play that the formation would set up a bigger play later
