Trey Coleman RB for UT has left team this morning

Well--spend some time around any athletic program...from youth softball to soccer to baseball to football....and you will begin to understand that these kids (or the majority of them) are TRAINED by the ADULTS from a very early age to expect everyone to cater to them and tell them how good they are. And that it's just not fair if all players on the team don't have an equal amount of playing time.

I am not looking to blame anyone....but if you want to know why the kids act this way--look to the parents! The fruit just doesn't fall too far from the tree.

Whoa Nellie. You might get a pass for exposing the kids, but watch out when you start pointing out the fact that adults done the raisin'. Truth!

No idea who it was, but I distinctly remember numerous fans here talking about what a wonderful job Pruitt did in holding the team together and having nobody leave the program. Many of those same are now pounding their chests about Pruitt cleaning house.

Which is it??

Could you list at least 2 of them?

Do we get to use his scholly on 2019 classs or 2020?
I had some questions along those lines but I think each school is limited to 25 recruits out of high school per year. Then you have an 85 total team limit so I haven't fiqured out how they go about keeping the 85. It has been stated that Paul Bain was put on scholarship today so maybe UT used the place that Coleman walked away from and gave that to Bain.

Per some guy on facebook:

Doesn't make a licka sense. Our secondary got torched and our OLBs didn't pressure worth a nickle. Obviously we have some talent issues.

That being said, there is no way Pruitt's trying to run off guys that he chose as starters. He believes they are the best players at their position. If he's doing that then he's bi-polar. Plus running off seniors only gives you a year of school saved for the 85 man roster.

When I saw his post I immediately thought of the beating I would have received from mama and daddy when I got home if I had posted anything close to that stuff (of course in my day to "post" something it would have been on the bulletin board) . Something tells me parents don't care anymore....
I had the exact same thought moments ago.

I would trade Coleman for Bain all day

Sure I have, not because I was not good enough. Additionally I've never left a job without at least a two week notice. I don't just walk out.
If I took a job with a company and they told me to sit over there and wait cause they didn't need me now but there's a chance they might could use me in the future but they're not making any promises - I'd be gone that day. I'm retired so not a new generation young fellow. I'm sure all these guys come here to "PLAY" football knowing nothings guaranteed and they have to compete for a position. Once they figure out that they don't fit into the coaching staff's plans why wouldn't they move on to a new opportunity? Can't understand why so many of the fans (who most likely never played college sports, heck probably most didn't even play HS football) get so butt hurt when someone who is driven / competitive enough to play at the college level leaves the program when they're not a contributor? If they wanted to watch folks play football then they'd join a fraternity instead of going through all the practices.

Attrition always happens with new coaching changes. Based on the talent level of this team at the moment, the more that leave the better.

Think f@nt is better than trey? Crg said once that trey’s best attribute was catching the football. F@nt has some impressive plays at wr in high school. Beasly is the only rb commit ( he doesn’t play safety anymore at all) . So, are we in on any other good rb’s??

Over what issues?
Playing time or something else?

I have a theory. I think Pruitt has put some of these players on blast. Botch got complacent and let the players kind of sleepwalk. Pruitt doesnt seem to be that way. I think the new staff along with the new S&C program is running guys off. If my theory is right, then good riddance. JMO of course.

Blah, blah. Another quitter. Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out

Honestly, it was nice to not have the attrition during spring that usually happens with a new staff. It lets the coaches actually evaluate them in person. But now that the season has begun, we need that attrition. Roster spots can be used for better fits. Less dissention in the ranks. More time spent on those who can and want to contribute. Be nice to see about another 6 to 10 leave by the end of the season. Makes for a faster remodel of the house with less junk laying around.

That’s not really the same though is it. A better analogy would be you’re hired as an entry level staff to learn and be trained so that one day you can be a manager. Instead you think you should be a manger on day one so you quit.

Alabama’s second team could whip us one handed yet they understand the long term goals for themselves and the team.

My buddy’s kid got into GT, the first day of class the professor said you must have been above average to get in here. Now that means you are simply average. You are no longer the smartest kid in your class. That can be a tough lesson for young kids to deal with.
