You were swinging by Butch's nuts when he was being escorted from the building. Please forgive me if I take your coaching evaluations with a grade of slaw.
See! Now you’re getting down to genitals references! New buddies Chief and Mills accept you as a brother! And I fired him after UGA, so you’re a liar!

Just rewatched most of the game after a day on the tractor. It didn't look as bad on tv as it did from the WVU section of the game.
Abernathy and Warrior def hurt us, BIG TIME!
The Oline came together after some taking some early lumps.
I like our rbs, WRs, and our QB! Get the line to gel and we will score some points.
Going in, we thought D might be a shining point, and this might be a bad match up for them. It was.
Wvu only scored on big plays from what I saw, which is there mo. A good qb is going to take advantage of those mis matches all day. I had hoped for more pressure on Grier, but it just wasn't there. Kongbo did nothing. Phillips didn't do much either.
We'll be aight...

Ouch. I know folks won't like it, but the success Tennessee had in the 90's was an outlier for the program traditionally. It also doesn't matter, because nobody cares. You can win a championship at Tennessee, but there's at least 12 or 13 other programs across the country where I think you can do it easier.

This kind of thinking pisses me off. 1998 wasn’t our only national title. Our program is still 13th in wins and 23rd in winning percentage (12th counting programs that have played 1,000 games or more), and those numbers have been skewed by the last 12 years. 6 of the last 12 seasons were sub .500, including the worst season in program history. The last 12 years are more of an outlier for the program traditionally than the 90’s are.

We’ve put up with enough the last several years, the last thing we need is for our own “fans” to try and shortchange the program.

I seen a article somewhere ..said jj has to go thru 5 acclimation practices orsomething of that nature..i know hes not gonnahave 22 tackles first game ...will he be able to play at all saturday?
I personally don't think there is anyway he sees the field Saturday. Not basing this on any info I have. Just my gut. I honestly don't think he sees significant/impactful playing time until South Carolina.

How did Richmond play?
Im interested in someone's eval of him, as well. Also, wondering about Ryan Johnson. I think he may have gotten yanked, but I'm not sure? When i did watch the line, I watched from Kennedy to the left. Any evals of the right side? Anyone? Saw Carvin looking solid a couple of times, but that's about it.

Talks today that maybe they are trying to push Richmond to the bench....I know he’s been subpar, just wondering if he **** the bed Saturday

I saw Ryan Johnson get beat bad a couple times. Didn’t really notice Richmond good or bad. Guess that’s a problem

The fact the question “is Pruitt ready for this job” is being raised after one game is crazy.
If you watch Saturday’s game and your takeaway is “Pruitt probably isn’t ready to be a HC”

Instead of “this defense is full of overrated guys and the OL is a massive work in progress,” then I question your football intelligence.

Sure, there are plenty of questions about Pruitt as a 1st time HC. That’s natural for any first timer. But we’ll get a better idea of the answer to some those questions when we see how the team responds to the killer 5 week stretch and then the final 5 games of the schedule.

Generally, OL is one of those positions where the less you hear about them the better. Unless you have a Trey Smith who just occasionally dominates, most times an OG or C gets name dropped is when they screwed up.

I’m hoping we can get our starting 5 settled in over the next week or two and they can at least get the communication/assignment errors taken care of.

I don’t really see our OL physically dominating too many games this year. But if they can at least get to the point where guys are all getting their assignments and getting bodies on bodies, I think our skill players can make some things happen.
