Can go bowling but need a roster overhaul to be an 8-9 win squad. But there is hope.


JG is good. Jordan and Chandler are good. Couple good WRs. Alontae Taylor could be a lockdown guy. Trey Smith is good. Those are really the only guys who really pop in a good way.

Defense lacks speed and has no impact player right now. Desperate need of a pass rusher.

Offense could be ok. O Line settled and wasn’t bad. JG was very good when protected. Chandler plus Jordan gives us a couple pretty good backs.

I thought Tuttle did some good stuff but he had 2-3 guys every time. No one else on the front could win one on one.

The question is whether WVU is really that good or if we’re really that bad. Their passing game is legit and I think their defense improved considerably.

We made some adjustments and the o-line looked settled down more after the first quarter. Jordan is legit and he and Chandler will made a strong pair. Gitmo improved probably more than anyone on the team. The defense is rough, though. There is no pass rush to be had. LBs look slow. Freshman playing considerable minutes in the secondary.

If by “hope” you mean a bowl game, then yes. If this team wins 8 games I’ll eat my hat. Could easily see 5-7 this year.
