It's all about money. Wouldn't be surprised if Landrey re-signs to the practice squad and re-activated if Ben gets hurt.

Jones can't go the the practice squad. He's a 6th year veteran and practice squad players can't have more that 2 years in the league

Big shock? Source is the Steelers depth chart. When #2 is cut, then #3 becomes #2. Rudolph may end up being the guy, but he’s not ahead of Dobbs right now. It’s called simple math.

He didnt have to take any NFL regular season snaps to see he should be on a roster. A lot of people just didn't know what they were talking about and or had an agenda against Dobbs. Now they can be quiet. They did the same to him here.

I feel like you might be a D4H alt moniker, but almost everyone here said Dobbs could be a backup. He’s not a starter and he’s certainly not the goat like D4H claims

The stage is now set for a Tom Brady-esque 2001 rise for Dobbs.

Big Ben is injury prone and this is a Super Bowl ready roster. If Dobbs has to play because of injury he might never give the job back.

No. But I think someone posted it on the Vols football discussion forum under a thread talking about Dobbs making the Steelers roster.

Also don't be surprised if Dobbs is on the field this year even if Big Ben doesn't get injured. I can see the Steelers using him in some read option plays near the goal line. He excelled at that during his career at Tennessee. And he also looked good doing it in the preseason.

Dobbs is definitely gonna play in 2018.

It would be a good use for him and a way to get him into some regular season action without having to throw him to the wolves in a case where BR gets hurt.

I know I posted somewhere (maybe this thread) that this could be something Dobbs could be used for. Whatever opinions people might hold on Josh's ceiling as an every down starting QB his skill set in various short yardage/goal line situations would certainly seem to have utility.

Dobbs will never reach the heights D4H has set.

Its funny. Two years ago it was he'll never be drafted. One year ago it was he'll never play a game in the NFL. Now its he won't reach the heights I've set for him.

How far will you move the goal posts next?

I'm guessing in about 5 months when Dobbs is holding up the Lombardi Trophy as a Super Bowl winning starting QB, you'll be saying Dobbs might be a Hall of Famer but not the GOAT.

Keep pushing those goal posts back.
