2nd quarter GDP 2018

Still need significant spending cuts. Breaking even won't reduce the deficit. I know it wasn't Trump's deficit, but he's at the helm now.
It will take significant cuts to Medicare, Medicaid, and SS. I don't foresee that happening anytime soon.

"In most recent 12-month period ended in July, for example, the typical American worker experienced a 2.7% increase in hourly pay. Yet yearly wage growth hit the 2.7% mark two years ago and has basically been stuck at that growth rate ever since. "

"rising inflation has eaten up most of that gain. The cost of living — as measured by the consumer price index — has risen almost 3% in the same 12-month span."

Who’s cashing in on roaring economy? By the size of paychecks, not most workers

That’s the second time you’ve posted something with “ hourly wage “ in it trying to show the economy isn’t as good as it is . How many people do you know personally that get hourly wage increases every quarter ?

You have 10,000 top earning baby boomers retiring every day, being replaced by cheaper employees or perhaps not at all. That certainly affects wages. If you go to a restaurant or retail outlet the people you deal with today are nearly comatose. The better employees have moved on to better paying jobs, but the dregs are being hired because demand is there. Chick-fil-A seemed to be able to weather any storm but even now their employee quality is starting to slip.

Also unless you wages equal your expenses you will take a 3% raise and a 3% cost of living increase all day long. You are still taking home more money.
