We run for over 250 in both these next two games. They were starting to build as the game wore on. Especially that left side. J.Johnson started to gain confidence and play more physical as it went on. Had a big time block pulling to the right side on Jordan’s TD. He took out three guys.

Today went about how I was afraid it would. We looked slow today, which I think is a combination of athleticism and not being entirely sure of assignments.

I know that 247 chart showing overall talent on a team is popular because we are pretty high on the list, but it is painfully obvious that we have a lot of “4&5 stars” that aren’t anywhere close to their rankings.

The DL is my biggest concern. They can’t generate a pass rush. I know some wanted us to quit blitzing, but we would have still been picked apart because of no pass rush.

I wish we could have got Jennings and DWA the ball a little more on O, but we looked improved there after our 1st couple of drives.

Hopefully the next two weeks are confidence builders, and we come out healthy.

On the bright side we’re not anywhere near as bad as Kansas. About a decade ago they had Todd Reesing and were a top 10 team, now they’re losing to Nichols. So it could always be worse.

I agree for the most part, but you have to go back and look at the tackling from the 2017 team. This team tackles so much better than they did last year. Still not where it needs to be, but CJP has already showed he is a better coach than butch. The OL was not great, but looked better than any UT OL from the last 4-5years. And it’s is mostly the same guys that played last year. The DL sucked but we all knew the would. The DL just needs better talent. It was also obvious how bad butch screwed UT with his crappy Strength and conditioning. JG looked 100% better than last year and so did the WRs. RBs looked good as well and the OL was much improved. Remember WV added several transfers from Clemson and Ohio state to their defense this year. This WV defense is not great, but they are also not the same defense from 2017.

Will be interesting to see where the ceiling is for the offense. I think they have a lot more in them than what we saw today. And if the O gets cranking the D will look better.

We had some pretty bad WVU fans in our section as well. Some great WVU fans, too though. But they definitely had quite a bit of obnoxious, continuous foul-mouthed fans there. Pretty sure one dude's entire vocabulary was just 5 cuss words.

West Va is better than I thought and we aren't as ready as I thought. Their grad transfers were huge today. The scariest part for me is I can't really sit here and say if he made a better call then it changes. It was a player deal today. The players had no natural energy. It was just weird. Abernathy is hot garbage no matter the coach. Our front 7 is weak. Our secondary will get better as the freshman get more reps. Buchanon is stil meh

Buchanan, Osborne, Abernathy, Warrior all just make head scratching plays and give poor effort all game. Taylor, Flowers, Jackson certainly made their mistakes but at least they showed some fight.

Score may not be as bad but Bama and UGA will abuse us much worse than WVU did.
