Shane has a steeped salary than Daniel and also Daniel has more time to give the Texans; whereas, Shane only had a few seasons remaining based on his age.

Interesting stat: With Trevor Daniel winning the starting job, 12.5% of the NFL's starting punters came from UT (4/32). If Matt Darr picks back up anywhere, that's 15.6%. Pretty incredible numbers.

So, by my count, if Matt Darr gets picked up, the only UT punter from the last 17 years that isn't starting in the NFL, is 2009 Chad Cunningham.

Even if Darr doesn't get picked up, Palardy was handling punting too during most of Darr's UT Tenure.

For sure. I didn't mean you couldn't with my post. I was quite literally saying that it's too bad it didn't win us more games. I know it certainly helped us win a few.

Apparently butch was asleep during the special teams success, otherwise he would have noticed that we had a kickoff returner that just might have been useful some other place on the field.
