Do you read your own posts? I get that you do try to objective, but fans, by their nature, can't be. You can try to be, but if you're a true fan, objectivity will not be one of your traits. The very strong perception on here of most posters, is that you are very negative or are a troll. I don't think you're a troll, actually, though I do believe you try to get people cranked up. Since most of us love Tennessee football, it isn't that difficult to get us riled. I believe that you are trying to convince people you're realistic and objective and can take your emotions out of it. For that reason, you tend to err on the negative side to compensate for your fandom. You fall all over yourself to find a counterpoint to anything positive because your "realism" demands it. I prefer to enjoy the ride, be optimistic and believe whole-heartedly that we are going to whip that effin' azz. It's a lot more fun, IMO.

I have always been a fan of the black cleats. I like them in baseball as well. I do think they are easier to clean as well. Maybe since I officiated for several years plays a part but I am nostalgic too.

We win Saturday and that changes to 7-5 for me

I feel like this game is the most important one of the season because the way the schedule is set up.

IF..IF..we can just win this game, I believe confidence will skyrocket, and that confidence in the coaches and themselves will propel them past the Gators...IF..that happens this season could end up one of the really special ones.

Conversely if we lose it could have the exact opposite effect and the season could spiral downward to a 5 win bummer.

I hope we win..we deserve some good fortune after getting our teeth kicked in the last decade+

I think 5-7 is our floor, with 6-6 being the more likely outcome. If our OL is shored up even marginally, and Alontae turns into a reliable corner (yeah there's still the other side), our ceiling could be as high as 9 wins, especially if Auburn duds out at 8-4 this season.

I don't know if anyone here can take expectations seriously this week with us all waiting for our official Red Ryder, carbine action, two-hundred shot range model air rifle under the Christmas tree.

I can however understand being simultaneously happy and slightly disappointed if we simply go 6-6 this year. Emotions are funny things, especially with high hopes and things we love.
