How to slow down the hurry up Offense,, simple , find the position on Defense you plan on rotating players @. At the end of the play, the Defensive player 1 has "cramps", lays down, waits 45 seconds b4 going to bench, repeat as needed
His coaches told him to do it, he looked at the bench then went down.. Lots of coaches teach this kinda stuff. like when the Tenn player flopped against the Fla player and drew the personal foul when the Fla player didnt even touch him... Gamesmanship,If by "worked," you meant that it embarrassed his coaches to no end, had his own teammates shaking their heads at him, and that team didn't try a stunt like that again the rest of the game. Sure. It worked.
But we're better than that.
Correct their 3-3-5 is not designed to stop a smash mouth run game.
The old Fulmer special play action deep ball to open the game with a quick "Give Him Six" sure would send a message though. Of course you are correct though, clock chewing, run it down their throat 10 play scoring drives. If successful, I believe Helton, JG, JJ, Callaway, Johnson, Murphy, Byrd (etc,..we have the makings of a lethal WR group)are so sick of hearing how good Grier, sills and co are that we are gonna score them early and often with play action.Best way to slow them down is to keep them on the sideline while you make 10-15 play drives running the ball and chewing the clock
I don't think this game will as fun as Greir and Sills remember most games. I think they have a long day.The old Fulmer special play action deep ball to open the game with a quick "Give Him Six" sure would send a message though.
