i don't know how good it is, but they're bigger than i think most of us thought. not sure, yet, how that translates, but in a pass happy offense, i'm betting they're more equipped to pass protect than grind out 1st downs at 4 yards a pop.
i think we'll be fairly aggressive on defense and try to dictate as much as we can to them. we'll give up some big plays i'm sure as a result, but i think you have affect the QB.
it's kinda weird, i watched the 2001 florida game the other night and this game, though for much dfferent reasons, reminds me of that game a bit, at least in regards to the UT Def/WV Off match up.
in that game, we hit the QB nearly 30 times, sacked him 6 times, hit him i don't know how many times. we were very aggressive on the ball and probably dropped 3 or 4 interceptions in that game. we held Florida to less than 50 yards rushing. our front 7 absolutely dominated that game.
yet Rex Grossman still threw for over 350 yards, and had multiple TD's. conversely, we pounded them with an O line and Run Game on offense, and were efficient in the passing game. and with the opportunities our defense left on the field with the dropped int's, that's really the only reason that game was close.
i could see this game playing out a little like that one, from a game planning standpoint anyway. we were out matched against their WR's and QB. so we pinned our ears back, and went after Grossman, and even when they did complete passes, and they did, we didn't give up anything cheap.
