They put out a depth chart, I think that’s it. No JJ news. Concern about ILB depth.

Honestly the biggest thing that stuck out to me was that Grant Williams is most improved player over the summer on the basketball team.
well, not for nothing, but that's proabbly really good news. hopefull he's developed more an outside game. he gets a jumper or 3ptr in his game, look out.

So far I haven't heard or seen anyone in the media trying to defend the urb suspension. It has been pretty unanimously calling him and osu out for this.
yep. i guess i can believe they did what they did given today's day and age. but on the other hand, much like i felt about our situioan last off season (though for totally different reasons), it still floors me just how completely tone deaf and seemingly unaware or oblivious the powerst that be at some of these universities are.

in the end, they wanted a rush job, they got a rush job, and they should get crucified for it every chance that presents.

they made this bed, they let Urban lie in it. i just hope this doesn't go away in 24 hours. it's so completely naive for anyone to believe that b/c urban meyer told his boss about something that absolves him of any moral responsiblity. and they found he made no deliberate attempt to lie? are you kidding me? they should take OSU's accreditations away if they're really that dense.

complete farce on all accounts.

Never heard of her.
guy

ESPN guy, used to play for BYU. I like Matich a lot. Usually very level-headed, so not sure if he was taking the role of devil's advocate opposite the guy who was giving a blistering rant against Meyer and OSU. Match kept reading from the committee findings to make the case for not during Urb, and I am thinking no one should take that report seriously. OSU found itself not guilty, and didn't even bother with a sacrificial lamb. Big surprise.

Okay guys/gals. I can't take 5 hours to sift through all of the JJ Peterson thread so help me out here. Did he make it in?

The decision they made smacks of "well, we're going to get crucified but there will likely be something new that will break and we'll be pushed towards the back of people's minds. Worse case, nothing juicy is going to happen and we'll simply ride things out until the sports world gets bored with it...people's attention spans are so short nowadays. Whatever happens, though, keeping Urban as the HC will be worth the price."

I do have a question on this...in 2015, Courtney Smith reached out to Meyer's wife after he beat her and there was the exchange of texts between the 2 of them that included the pix showing the harm done to her. But in the report, the committee's investigation stated that both Meyer and his wife questioned C. Smith's version of events, and I quote from the report, "...although both had doubts about the credibility of Courtney's claims ...". Admittedly, I haven't read every word of the report nor have I read every article regurgitating what has transpired, but what did they think caused the bruising and other visible signs of harm? What is their explanation for that....did they think someone else hit her or she beat herself up? If Meyer's wife really questioned Courtney Smith's version of events, especially after the known history of the Smiths' relationship dating back to UF, she's every bit as scummy as Urban.

But when all is said and done, it's obvious to me that Meyer and his wife are a perfect match for each other.

Whenever your head coach is openly telling any big money donor that will listen that Tennessee is going to not only cover against WVU but that the Vols are going to win. Now, here's the deal with that kind of talk. You have to be pretty confident or crazy or perhaps both to begin your tenure at a school by promising the very people you're trying to please that you're beginning your tenure with a resounding victory.

Saw this on Twitter, not sure how true it is.

Crazy thing that most people don't realize is he was a dang good 3 pt shooter his freshmen year. Made 10 of last 18 from 3 iirc. Last year he was awful from 3. He just needs to get it back and watch out

Guys, I am trying super-hard not to get taken in (yet again) by a coach who hasn't delivered. BUT even I have to admit that I'm starting to believe. I think my main conundrum for this season is that while I think/hope that Pruitt is the guy we need as HC. I know full well that the time frame is too short to expect much. I think we'll win a game or two that we probably shouldn't and lose a game or two that we probably shouldn't but I am so tired of coaching searches and 'fool's gold' that I genuinely wonder about where my head is at these days.

I think we have more than enough to compete with everyone on our schedule minus Bama and UGA and yet I still can't imagine us having much more than an ok season for a first time coach. I wish it was otherwise but I feel flat out beaten up and I don't like it one bit. I am praying that Coach Pruitt gives us at least one or two miracles this season

No year zero. Not even game zero. No mitigating expectations. Not even a hint of a complaint or veiled excuse. Just WGWDFA.

XV-Nulla
lol. agreed. though i'm gonna say right now that i hope our hc isn't talking to donors about covering the spread.......sounds like something that shouldn't be anywhere near the priority list....lol.
