Other than Grier, what other starters for WVU would supplant starters for UT ( offense and defense)? BTW, if you do not listen to Slayer, begin immediately.

And WVU gets a Jeremy Pruitt (db coached and) called Defense + (as compared to 2017) a fresh injury free Vols (Juan Jennings + Kirkland Jr/if he plays game 1 + numerous other uninjured returners || "numerous" being several, as I forget the number, but we had like 15+/- guys out last year / not sure they're all returners however).

Why are we still saying this? They have us 4-2 at this time and have been to the SECCG twice since we have last been. Since they joined the SEC, they have been a better fit than we have.

I would imagine our LT Cajuste would start opposite of Smith and our RT McKivitz would supplant one of your guards.

WR Jennings would start for you guys, I don't know who he'd start over, but he would probably start over most receivers in the country.

Our LB Long is certainly good enough to start for the majority of the teams in the country, though, his size could present problems for him in the SEC. But I doubt it.

Marcus Sims would probably be your starting KOR.

Man, I appreciate your coming to our site and staying friendly and classy, but let's admit, you know a lot more details about your team than ours, so to say you're likely to win by greater than 10 is pretty much a shot in the dark. I mean, let's discount our record last year, since there was a lot of craziness and injuries that destroyed our season. Truth is, you don't really know what WVU is facing. Unfortunately, neither do we. Maybe you win by 40--maybe you lose.

Oh, they're decent enough as a team. It's just they're not a decent fit culturally. I know in the days of super conferences that doesn't matter as much, but Morgantown, WV is much more like SEC country than Columbia, MO. Rabid fans caring waaaaaaay too much about a college team. That fits better with us than what Mizzou brings. Nothing wrong with them as a program, but there is nothing southern about them.

I know, I'm a dinosaur.

That's it, exactly.

West Virginia (and Virginia and North Carolina, for that matter) seem like extensions of the "family." Mizzou never has, and never will. It is an outsider just as much as West Virginia is an outsider among the Big 12.

And no, this is not a "confederacy" thing (duh, WVa's creation and existence are potently anti-confederacy). It's more about shared culture, shared geography (the Appalachian Mountains loom large as a common bond), shared outlook on life.

Missouri is a Gateway state connecting the Mid-West to the Great Plains. There's nothing in that linking them to the southeastern US or the Appalachian region.

Pshhh. Yeah, well, they're going to get smacked in the mouth early and often. If there's one prediction that I will make, it's that we're going to be physical. The personality and philosophy of our coaching staff demands it. Regardless of who wins this game, WVU will be a lesser team when it faces its next opponent.

I just love the fact that no one knows what to think of Tn. That’s why everyone is hating. Who likes the unknown. I’ll take this over what we knew we had with butch anyday.
One thing is for sure. Win or lose we got a man that only wants to coach football and not build brick mailboxes on tv.

Even playing a yard off the line and while It wasn't totally pretty, we did not give up against GA Tech's bone D/QB last year and we will not let up pursuing Grier all over the field for 60 min this year.

Better viewpoint - un-explored fuel source. Huge amount of potential and economic opportunity, considering that the US is the 'Saudi Arabia' of coal. I am a UT person, but I have evaluated with several biofuels adventures and most are absolute bad ideas

I admit I am an UT optimist. I think that UT will have a much better defense the advertised (maybe running game) and keep pressure on WVU. Hopefully, UT can shorten the game/lower scoring by 25-50%. How is the WVU special teams?
