People in the West have declining birthrates and have for decades. If you want to talk about overpopulation, the third world is breeding like rabbits and overrunning the developed world. So take it up with them I suppose.

That is part of it, but the US expels so much carbon compared to our percentage of population. We are the worst offenders hands down. The need for AC, luxury cars, meat at every meal, McMansions, and convenience everything is absurd.

China does lead us in total CO2 emissions, but in per capita emissions we produce at a rate that's twice as high.
