I had nothing to do with it.

As far as the AK comments, I would prefer that athletes use language that is more appropriate for all audiences. However, the NFL has exactly zero legs to stand on when it comes to this. They let the "inmates run the asylum" on the kneeling controversy and now the proverbial "cat" is out of the bag. I wish they would try to tell AK to clean up his language because his response would be hilarious and completely justified. Long live m***** f****** Alvin "Chiziard" Kamara!

Guys, talk me off the ledge. The more I think about this WVU game the more I believe they will boat race us.

there's a couple things in play here for me about this game.

1. no one really knows what we're bringing to the table. it's easy to see a 4-8 team coming back with a lot of the same players and a completely new staff and see that team struggle the next year. so i get that, and in some way agree with it. even if we're better than we think, it's still a lot to ask to have all the things that need to come together, to actually come together in year 1. but...who knows.
2. i don't trust WVU to live up to or surpass the hype. Heisman trophy QB. some peoples pre season pick to win the Big 12 and make the play off. how does that program handle being put on a pedestal? they're going to be expected to beat us, handily. wonder how the pucker factor affects them if things are close in that game....???
3. on paper, this is a bad match up for us, defensively. they should be good on offense. they have skill players, and experience.
4. WVU is going to have to, at some point, actually show they have a championship caliber defense. i think there's still some opportunities for us to match up against them on that side of the ball.
5. it's game 1. crazy ish happens. and where is it written that we can't win a game or two we're not supposed to?

i just think no one should be all that surprised either way. if we win, i think it's safe to say we're probably a little better than many think, and the idea that this team isn't completely void of talent and how last year ended isn't indicative of what the team is capable of becomes validated. if we lose, then everyone else was right...and move on.

one thing i'm fairly certain of, we have a whole lot of nothing to lose in this game. WVU could see their play off run end before it begins. no pressure mountaineers.;)

I keep seeing Vol fans underestimate them and overestimate us. They have a heisman watch qb. We don’t know who our qb will be. They have 4 OL returning, we have two returning from injury. Our WR’s can’t seem to catch the ball against air. We have a first time HC, OC, DC....
basically, #WGWTFA

Yeah, I know... What language Alvin Kamara uses to a reporter who is clearly just following him around for a day is a much more important issue.

Also, how can you focus on the anthem kneeling with all that's going on with the Kardashian family?

we also have a pretty good record with neutral site games in the last few years. I don't know about WVU.

No one on this site, barring other that live in WV want to win this game more badly than I! All of my friends are die hard wvu friends, naturally so living up here! When they announced this game, I was stoked projecting the depth and players we'd still have, and coming off a 9 win season, I figured we'd be defending SECE champs going into this game...oh how the narrative has changed!!
