2018 Midterm Election Thread

I actually think it's more disingenuousness than hypocrisy. I don't think many of these GOP congressman really believe the whole Jesus and law and order thing (at least when it comes to white-collar (i.e., rich white guy) crimes). But it's convenient to invoke it because it plays well with a portion of their base.

Do rich, black guys have black collars?

Where do you find these Twitter posts with such infinitesimally few likes and retweets?

Seriously, these are probably a personal friends and followed by a few dozen people. Hard hitting and damaging shat there!

Maybe. But the obscurity of the tweets he shares here is fascinating. Carlos, OTOH, shared a tweet with a hundred times the likes and retweets.

We have pinpointed the problem.

And I don’t believe a majority of Dims are bat **** crazy socialists yet they remain quiet while this hard left socialist agenda is propagated. Seems like partisan politics are working as intended.

I do however believe a majority of Dims are lefty libtards and the meaning of that label is a tad dynamic based on whatever bat **** crazy taking point is being propagated.

We need to change the board to English only.

So the Hollywood elite are blowing a collective gasket over the Green parties vote in Ohio yesterday. Calling them ignorant, Russians, an embarrassment, and wanting an audit of voting machines.

So the best way to get them to vote for your chosen one in less than 3 months is to call them all idiots, got it. On top of that, if they didn't vote Green. What makes these "elites" think that they would necessarily vote for O'Connor and not Balderson if they were to vote differently?

Sounds a lot like Trump better implement any 'must accomplish' legislation post haste.
I agree. Obama had to do/tried to do the same thing (namely stimulus bill and ACA). Outside of ACA, there wasn't any truly notable legislation that his administration was able to sign into law, and that's because after 2008 voters essentially began taking power away from the Dems while simultaneously keeping Obama president (they lost the House in 2010, lost the Senate in 2014). I took that to mean the electorate was comfortable with him being President, but didn't necessarily want every part of his agenda realized. This was all described as "Republican obstruction" in Democratic circles and in most of the media, the but electorate did remove Democrats from power in Congress over Obama's 8 years. The fact that it happened shouldn't have been surprising or even viewed as a bad thing, IMO.

The most political capital a president, or any politician, has is right after they win an election.

once again proving how broken the system is. they should start with the least, until they are proven. instead its just entrenched partisan crap.

Or, on the other hand, if the election is rigged/manipulated why didn't these Greens just vote for Balderson? If the Green votes are votes that would have otherwise gone to O'Connor (and 95% of them probably are), and there is funny business going on, why not make those votes just go straight to Balderson? Wouldn't that make more sense if someone was rigging it?

dude needs to stfu, and imo no president should be stumping around for candidates. Don't like when Trump does it, didn't like when Obama did it, not sure who else has done it but I didn't like it then either.

It's always going to happen especially if the President is popular with the base and Trump is. Trump needs Republicans for his agenda.

He's the biggest troll I've ever seen.

He's the President of the United States. Not President of the Republicans or President of the Democrats.
I agree but that is just the way it is. I believe I remember reading somewhere that DC Politicians spend about 90% of their time on Campaigning and Fundraising and only about 10% working for us. Pretty sad.

pretty sad indeed, and why I don't like it. I don't care about how it is, and how it works and what the other people do/did. Its crap and should stop. and Trump doesn't need to be a blowhard about it.

I get it. Trump is going around the Media that will not report on it accurately. Sad that he has to do it but it is what it is.
