Pruitt’s 1st Signature WIN?

Florida. The last head coach to beat them in their 1st year was Fulmer as interim coach 92(interim counts in this situation IMO). Even with them being down it would be a statement saying he is not like the last three coaches. He should be able to beat a bad Florida team if he can a coach.

I think his first road win against a rival (bama, uf, uga)would be a signature win. SO next year against uf is my guess.

Unless we pull off a stunner against uga or bama this year.

It would be interesting if after Tennessee beats West Virginia that QB Will Grier tests positive for a banned substance(like at Florida)and is banned for the rest of 2018;)

Maybe the headline will read, "Tennessee Reveals Grier's Drug Problem ...They Drug Him All Over The Field!" !!!

We go 4-0, Dominate FL. I think we play GA well. Hopefully nobody gets banged up especially lineman. It's a long season. 8-9 wins.

Boy that would be nice but there is a 0% chance of this happening
50/50 chance we beat WVU. Will not beat Florida. Will play UGA hard but still lose by alot

Auburn very rarely loses at home. Ask Alabama and Ga who they both beat by Double Digits there. One of the hardest places to win at. It's much easier to win at GA than at Auburn.

That was my "s t r e t c h" signature win. Auburn has key injuries, and they rarely post great seasons back to back under Malzahn. Plus he got a new contract this year and that usually means bad season.

We need to beat who we're supposed to beat. (South Carolina, Vandy, Kentucky) When we were good, these are the teams we beat up on. I guess now you can throw Mizz in their too.
Decisive win over Fla. would mean we're on the right track.
When we're beating Bama, Georgia I'd say we have finally woke the sleeping giant. I believe we have the right coach with not enough depth or competent QB play. 7 games, maybe 8 would be a win in my book, Increasing a win every year.

They have a really high-powered offense with the QB and 2 WRs returning. Most of their losses last year were to pretty good teams, so I see why they are ranked. Preseason polls are forward-looking and make assumptions, which is why quite often teams start the season ranked but badly fade.

I don't think we have much of a shot at beating them - that's why I mentioned Florida.
They do have a high powered pass game but don't run the ball well. Their Defense will probably be the worst we play all year. Grier padded his stats vs bad teams and had his struggles vs the better ones he played. If you can say that any Big 12 team can play D. But against more talented team's, like we will be they struggled and didn't put up near as many points. Talent wise they are nowhere close to ours but are still dangerous.

The ranked or teams with more talent on their schedule like Va Tech, Iowa St, TCU, Oklahoma, Ok St, Texas and Utah they were 1-6 and averaged 24 pts a game. Only 2 of those 7 did they score over 30. And one of those was vs Okla after they had gotten up 35+ pts and had backups in.G tier missed 2 of those 7 so he was 1-4 in the 5 he played in. In those 5 his completion percentage was 59%, down 5% from his total for the year. He had 11 TD's and 8 Int's in those 5 and 40 less yards a game passing than his season avg. In the 7 games he won those teams had a combined 19-45 record plus an additional bad Div 2 Team. Those 7 games he had 23 TD's and 4 Int's., Threw for 349 yards a game and hit 67% of his passes. Those 7 games W.Va averaged 49 pts a game. 6 of their 13 games they were held under 28 pts against Big 12 Defense's. W.Va and Grier padded their stats vs really bad teams, including 2 teams who each won 1 game, another team who won 3 games then a bad Div 2 team. W.Va has no business being ranked. I just don't see the hype or assuming a loss to them. Throw in Grier having season ending surgery and who knows how or if that effects him.

We aren't losing to Fla at home. Fla is a mess right now and have just as many questions or more than we do. They may not have any receivers left by time we play them. Should not to lose to Fla this year and we won't.

For me it's (home or away, don't matter) playing an SEC team considered equal or greater than we are and dominate them for the game. Win handily or give em a beat down.

I love the positivity here. We have a better shot at beating UF than Wva imo. That said I think we beat Botha

We’re not losing to Florida. I’m willing to sport a Bama avatar for the rest of the season if that happens, if you’re willing to make that wager.

I honestly would take another loss to Florida at this point to derail UGAs season hopes.

The only problem with that is we’d still need help to completely wreck it. Most likely they’ll throttle everyone in the east including us.

I’m just not sold on USCe yet
