This is true, but it being underthrown is also true. The safety wasn't going to get over there in time for over the top help. So the best thing JG should have done is throw is to the endzone so Palmer could've ran under it. It was a better play by the WR than pass by the QB.

There are plenty of people who get stressed and who fail who do not become a jerk. I don't really know if that is what caused it in his case. I suspect he has always been a jerk, but that is JMO.

Agree it wasn’t a perfect throw. Also don’t think it was a bad one.

I know I will catch heat, but the offense scheme was not CBJ problem. The scheme was solid and is similar to many college offenses.
His problem was a lack of an offensive line coach who could recruit and develop linemen. This combined with a poor S&C program and poor team discipline caused his ruin.
Coach Jake and Debord used Dobbs to hide the poor line play and miraculously put up good offensive numbers. Last year Scott was over his head and did not have Dobbs and disaster was the result.

I’m happy with the progress we’re making in S&C.

But one good offseason isn’t enough. A lot of our guys have basically wasted the previous two years in an awful S&C program and are just finally making up for it.


And a lot of them haven’t been very good on the field either. I’m sure with better coaching and scheme, we’ll see better play from them this year.


But we’re not gonna get to where we need to be along the LOS until Pruitt has flipped the roster a bit in some key spots. It is what it is.

At least he did admit that he should’ve treated people better. Most people can’t be that introspective and recognize their shortcomings.

No, but that’s a straw man argument

It’s like me asking you if you think we could have averaged 50 ppg if Butch was not the coach.

The primary failure was OL coaching, S&C, and losing the team. Hiring Larry Scott at OC and micromanaging Shoop too.

I would add WR coaching and the strain his offensive style put on the defense was more than they could ever overcome.

Micromanage whatever. Shoop is just some juzunk. Franklin made him look good.
