Butch isn’t an idiot. He was a semi successful college coach at multiple stops. He is also very good At STs.

I know we all hate butch but let’s not act like he is a 12u coach.

What aspect of football is he better at than Saban? What advice is he gonna give Saban?

That’s like saying a hitting coach could never help Albert pujols because he’s not a better hitter. Having different sets of eyes on stuff is never a bad thing.

Give up the butch hate man. He’s gone.

I may be in the minority here, but I’d like to see Dooley be successful in time. I think he’s a personality who could make college football interesting.

He failed here miserably. Could each of you imagine your biggest life failure and embarrassment being aired out in front of millions? From a human perspective I’d like to see someone succeed from that. I’ll say the same for Butch, but let’s give that a few years, LOL.

I really respect him for saying his experience here was humbling. I hope he does well in the future. Just not against us this year.

Looked like he put it in a spot the CB couldn't adjust to. DB had his back to the sideline and his pass was towards the sideline. Almost like a back shoulder throw.

Not a bad pass.

We will have to agree to disagree on that. I didn’t see back shoulder throw at all based on the way the WR didn’t break like it. I think it was just underthrown based on the air under it and the WR made a great adjustment.

I agree. I thought the WR had separation and the ball was slightly under thrown. If he makes a great throw there isn't a great catch required to make the play

Biggest weakness on this team is both lines, which is why most of our recruits in the 19 class on the Oline and Dline.
We get that shored up next year, watch out.

OL should be ok next year. Dont lose anyone. Not sure on DL

I think the Oline will be vastly improved with the addition of Kennedy and a healthy Trey Smith and Chance Hall. Agreed on DL.

Wasn’t calling it a backshoulder throw, per se. Just saying it was thrown in a spot where the WR had a chance at it and the DB didnt.

Agreed, Butch is gone, but he lives in the head of many on VN.

He’s not even good. He’s a body
Yeah, but Blair was wayyy worse. Remember how bad our OL was in 2014?

At various points we were playing a walk on with a torn ACL and a true freshman Center at OT. Blair couldn’t even manage to be a body on the field.

Richmond has never been great, but he’s at least been good enough to get on the field.

I disagree with this. I think we ought to be allowed to continue hating him at least until we're done paying him his 8+ million dollar buyout. jmo.
