Thought the same. Wood Anderson is being set up to be the next Kongbo and Mackenzie.

USCs leading TEs last year combined for 31 catches 451 yards and 3 TDS. That’s with an amazing QB. I would set the O/U stat line on DWA at say 18 catches 200yds and 1.5 TD ☺️

I’m trying reverse psychology. But you have to admit based on practice reports prior that you expected Kongbo to just come out and terrorize offenses.
I'm not saying you're wrong... he's just never had competent coaching and was a raw prospect to begin with... that's a lot of man to deal with coming off the edge at OLB in a 3-4 with one of the best linebacker coaches in the country coaching him up in Sherrer running an Alabama scheme that.... if we stay healthy... we mostly have the personnel for... we'll see... call me optimistic that two great defensive minds can make a weight room monster like Kongbo into a football player

I wonder if the "university investigation" will find those reports Urban filed?

None of this seems random, everyone going on the record at the same time. This is orchestrated damage control. I'm not sure that Urban and the University aren't working together here to better their position.
Pesky facts aren’t on their side tho.

At SEC Media Days? He did say that, but then he said something else about "We'll need them all." or "We'll play them all." I could be wrong, but that stuck in my mind. He's commented before that we'll use all our RBs that are ready to play.

I think we'll play at least Chandler, Jordan, London, Banks and Fant. Then there's Trey Coleman, another bigger back that's probably going to get carries. So that's six. You don't think they'll all play?
Depends on health, I guess. I could see all of them getting on the field at one point or another, but I don’t see a scenario where all 6 get very meaningful reps, no. I imagine we’ll see 3 guys get a large majority of the snaps that matter. Maybe someone like Fant or Banks comes on strong as the season goes on and starts stealing snaps from others, but I’m not even sure what a 6 rb rotation would look like.

That Pruitt quote seemed like he was talking more towards the need for depth in case someone gets banged up than talking about playing 4-6 guys a game.

[Pruitt] Said Bryce Thompson and Kenneth George showed some promise. Showed their athletic ability. Now must learn what to do.

Pruitt complementary of Darin Kirkland, Jr. Said you don't play in this league as a true freshman and not be able to play. Said he will help this team and liked what he saw in his first full day of practice.

The WR rotation was much of the same with how it was in the spring, with the notable inclusion of Jauan Jennings back on the field.

Marquez Callaway, Jordan Murphy and Tyler Byrd were at the X, while Jennings, Palmer and Cedric Tillman were at Z. The slot had Brandon Johnson, Latrell Williams and Jacquez Jones.
