@Grand Vol this is not really on-topic, but I saw a poll showing the favorability of governors and Fallin was dead last. What's going on there?

Basically, she hasn't really lived up to the expectations of the voters (even though getting reelected) and has made some serious stupid mistakes this past year. The teacher walkout in April was a big one that put the hammer to her approval rating. Shutting down the Constitutional Carry bill was another. Not opening up the Turnpike Authority like she should have is another and letting them push for an imminent domain land seizure for a turnpike nobody wants pissed a lot of people off. Not going after new businesses while sucking up to the fossil fuel industry only by giving them a tax break a few years ago right as they were booming. Furthermore, nobody is real sure where the casino taxes are ending up.
She's wishy washy over a good many things. In short, she likes the position, but really isn't that good at making good decisions. Also, she's an (R) in a deeply red state and ran pretty much uncontested in 2014. Remember Yellow Dog Democrats? Think Red Dog Republican.
Tennesseans know the old truism: If you lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas.
The universal meaning is simple: Be careful of the company you keep.
Ask Republican U.S. Rep. Marsha Blackburn.
Marsha Blackburn's chances keep getting dimmer and dimmer with the fact that she's gotten more NRA :cough: dark money : cough: than any Tennessee delegate, has specific close ties to the lawyer at the center of the NRA/Russia scandal, and her direct involvement in undermining the DEA in the opioid crisis. Now she's dodging questions about Russian agent Maria Butina and sanctioned Russian oligarch Alexander Torshin. The latest poll has her down 6% to Bredesen.
Sohn: NRA's Russia link has ties to Blackburn

I’ve veen helped a lot by the tax cuts and I’m certainly not the rich.Trump weighs big tax cut for rich: report
Real incomes declining, corporate elites getting rich of the tax cuts (average Joe ain't), and now this up for consideration. Are you guys just trying to ensure we take the house AND senate?

If Beto wins you might be looking at a future president.Tightening up in deep red Texas
If you’re backing Cruz in Senate race against Beto, two new polls may be discouraging
There's nothing more predictable than this boilerplate reaction Democrats have to every tax cut in the history of the world. Running against the economy with a class warfare argument is political suicide right now.Trump weighs big tax cut for rich: report

It's a special election. I fully expect it to go your way.Very early, in the special election of House of Representatives Ohio District 12, but Democrat Danny O'Connor is crushing Republican Troy Balderson for whom Trump held a rally. It's currently 63% to 36%. Polls are closed. In the most populated county in the district (one third of the voters), O'Connor leads with 80% of the vote.
