You have to enroll after January 1 to count towards next year's class, right? That's the change.

The traditional blueshirting doesn't work anymore, where coaches were trying to get kids on campus in the fall and still count them towards next year's class.

I did research it. We had a whole big discussion about it, but I can't recall where that happened. I've slept since then.

Correct...to grayshirt. So Thompson, George and Davis are doing some form of blueshirting in order to be on the 18 roster. Would assume the same for Kennedy, but it may be an allowance a grad transfer provides. Chryst and London fit on the 18 class...and they allowed Kennedy to count against 19.

I guess when I people say 'blueshirting' I think they're referring to the practice of a kid who wasn't recruited and arrives on campus during the summer as a walk-on and then is put on scholarship once practice begins and counted forward. That's no longer possible.

Guys who arrive after January 1st like the ones you mentioned can be put on the roster and counted forward, no problem. You just have the 25 scholarship a year issue to deal with, which as you know is a completely separate number.

Grayshirts have always been an option...but not popular with the recruits. They basically sit a semester away from the team...not even in school. They’re realistically a year behind their classmates by the time they get STARTED. Bama doesn’t even accumulate a ton of these guys...even with a dynasty to be a part of.

Try selecting the skin 'VolNation 2018 (no avatars or images)' and see if that's what you're looking for.

It should not show any avatar images or any images in posts.

This may be a known issue already but that skin is super broken on my phone. Totally unusable for me.

Thanks. I know it’s initially a shock for folks but we will be so much better off in the long run and there are a lot of new things that I plan to bring to the table which I haven’t mentioned yet.

As for sleep, I tend to take small naps from time to time. Lol.

Zackly. Thus hard to sell to recruits without insulting them. Definitely not the best strategy to load a roster.
