Maybe, but it's real and if we're being realistic, it needs to be addressed. It'd be nice if the problem didn't exist, but it does and it's not going away.

Doesn't mean we can't have nice things.

Its still a drag, man. Especially since no one knows the real number even if they think they do. Do you remember leb killing us softly with this every year?

Of course, but I'm not bemoaning the process and calling our coaches bad people for doing it. It's part of college football.

NCAA set a hard 25 with no backcounting. We already used 4 spots already on the roster...that leaves 21. When Leb was doing his thing, Butch was using backcounting AND blueshirting and landing 30 in some classes. You can’t have more than 25 new scholarship enrollees anymore...unlike when Leb was guessing. I know you’re feeling nostalgic, but it’s pretty simple stuff.

I disagree with how simple it is but we wont know till February. Until then go buy a lottery ticket since you know the numbers so well.

I paid attention last year. We had 23 spots and that’s what we signed. Didn’t pretend to know what was or wasn’t flexible last season...tricks have been pretty much shutdown. And I do quick picks. 😆

Are you saying London, Chryst, Kennedy etc count toward next year even if they aren’t on Roster any more like Chryst and London will be?

This is the crap that sucks calling out individuals we can drop in July. It stinks.

Sure it sucks. All these kids have dreams. No one wants to see their dreams get crushed. Hell, I wish we could take all of them, but the NCAA doesn't allow it. That means there will be casualties. Rumors are already out there that Cox is likely to flip to Auburn. Middelton, especially with his past, seems a likely recruit to get processed. I disagree with Butchna on Harris, but we'll see.

NCAA: We see you have 37 NLIs. You do know the hard limit is 25?

NCAA: Uh, dilly dilly. We cool.

London and Chryst were the last two spots on 18’s 23. They have no effect on 19. Kennedy does and so does Thompson, Davis and George. That’s why we’re down to 21.

I think we'll have a much clearer picture after the early NSD in December.

Only way Harris gets “processed” is if he can’t make the grades.
Then it wouldn’t be “processed” would it? Same effect. I’m just looking at the list of commits they’d value less than some of these heavy artillery guys who are still possible.

Just reading the tea leaves, he may have missed his chance, unless we wind up not getting Wright or something like that.
Yes. A healthy Trey Smith, transfer Kennedy, and the emergence of Jerome Carvin have all contributed to a whole lot better OL room than in Januaryish.
