TrumpPutingate III: the beginning of the end

I just wanted to come in here to say I’m sad that the new format allows for infinite posts in a thread. I was really looking forward to the titles for TrumpPutinGate IV-IX.

I'd like to hear the reasons on why you all think a person colluding with a hostile foreign power to win an election isn't an impeachable offense.
Whoa whoa whoa. First off, we’ll have to hear why Russia is a hostile power? I was under the impression that the 1980’s wanted their foreign policy back.

It's not a reach to come to the conclusion that he believes 'collusion between hillary and the DNC was wrong' and coming to terms with collusion between trump and Russia "isn't a crime"

Collusion is either bad or it's not. He's planting the seed that it's no big deal while throwing red meat to people like you want to pile on Hillary. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

Ok I’ve got to go to work. One more.

That isn’t what his tweet stated.

A) collusion isn’t a crime. This isn’t a new statement. We’ve been preaching this for months.

B) he claims regardless he didn’t do it anyway.

C) he points to an example of admitted collusion. I inferred that he was alluding to the court case defense.

Sparkles you’re just imprinting your own message on top of his tweet. Off to work now.

"preaching it for months" does nothing to lessen the treachery of doing it. Repeating that 'it's not a crime' doesn't make it 'OK', which appears to be the toed line. Unless that is, it was also 'OK' for Clinton and the DNC to collude as well.

Is it OK to collude or not? Yay or nay?

Trump's messages are on about a 4th-grade level, it's not hard to read into his hypocrisy. The guys' Twitter is a living, breathing contradiction.

Trump is a master tactician. He manipulates the left and has them reaching at fictitious apparitions with a few keystrokes in the Twittersphere. Hysterical!

Irrelevant. That doesn't address that he doesn't believe colluding isn't a crime. I'm just trying to ascertain whether he believes collusion is a bad thing or not - on one hand, he doesn't appear to believe so and on the other he does.

Keep trying to ascertain.

Manipulates the left? The left didn't vote for him. Look at you being manipulated to carry Trump's water.

See?

He has you swooning like a newly pubescent lad getting his first hand job.

In case you haven’t noticed, I spend a great deal of my time on VN eliciting responses like you just provided. If nothing else, it illustrates the gravity of your butthurt and the perpetuity of your hypocrisy.

You are doing exactly what Trump wants you to.

We need to define our terms.

"Rigged," to me anyway, means changed actual vote tallies. I read that some of the tampering by Russians suggests they WOULD, if they COULD, change the numbers. But that they have not managed to get that far, yet.

"Meddled," to me, means they engaged in deceptive practices designed to influence voters to get a desired result.

The overwhelming consensus of opinion is that they meddled, but did not rig, the 2016 election. Trump has lied repeatedly about having any connection to it. And now it seems like the plan is to anticipate that Mueller report will say that there was some collusion. And so Trump and his supporters are now retreating a bit and saying its not a crime to collude to meddle, as long as they did not rig.

What people need to remember in that event is motive. WHY would the Russians want Trump to win that badly? Just dislike of Hillary? Possible, I suppose, but what about all these pro-Russia decisions by Trump. Heard on the radio just yesterday that there is talk of removing some more of the sanctions. And now there are reports of a meeting BEFORE the meeting with the Russian to strategize the big meeting. There is no way Trump did not know of that. His team is softening things up because they know its coming.

I hope that Mueller's report doesn't just tell us what we all already know -- there was collusion. I think we need to know WHY the Russians wanted him to win. That will tell the tale of how this ends.

That would imply that he has removed some sanctions. What sanctions has he removed?
