I don’t know about that but he would take commitments to inflate the recruiting rankings and to create fake momentum.
So he would take commitments from kids that he knew couldn’t get in? Just to make the class look better ?

Given the information posted, this has to be the case. Butch would take commitments from kids that he knew wouldn't make it just to make the recruiting rankings look better.

Anyone know where Peyton’s chatt house is? My family own a sporting goods business in chatt we mainly do t shirts and such for school or various companies. And I know that Peyton does t shirts and things all the time for his manning passing academy. There is definitely like a 90% chance he would bother but hey why not give it a shot. Also I plan on just sticking a letter in his mail box so I’m not like stalking him lol

If you had to harbor a guess, what would you expect a defensive minded coach to do on a SEC team that struggled to win games last year? I would tell you he’s going to want to play power football and win ugly, low-scoring games. Checks the interwebz for Tennessee. True to form that is exactly what Pruitt wants to do. The Volunteers are going to employ a fullback, meaning I-formation, power it down your throat, beat you into submission and then, not be able to catch up when you are down 21-0 and have to throw the ball because all you ever worked on was hitting the guard/tackle gap at full speed behind a blocker.

I think the author has Pruitt's offensive philosophy all wrong. We will see the fullback some, but that is not going to be our base offense. Our offense will be similar to what Helton did at USC. I doubt they used a fullback much at USC.

That article was about as homer as an article could possible get.

"Pruitt is best known for not getting yelled at by Nick Saban because Pruitt’s name isn’t Lane Kiffin."

After watching the UF game replay, I’m more convinced that we have talent on the roster. We had them covered by 2 TDs from a talent standpoint, the coaching was just THAT bad. It was over after that game.

Agreed. Coaching cost us, we had the ball in the red zone 2-3 times and and completely abandoned the run for the most part. Still can’t believe we were on the 6in and inside the 10 and threw 7 passes. With one getting picked.

  • Harrison and Simmons commited but still want to take visits. Pruitt is fine with that because recruiting has changed - more reserving your spot now. Staff will take a commitment but still evaluate film on guys going into their senior seasons and can decide they like someone else better. Recruits have to be prepared for that. Works both ways.

One thing I want to shout from the mountaintops when people complain that "commitments just ain't commitments anymore". You think college coaching staffs aren't always looking for the next best thing too?
