2nd quarter GDP 2018

Has the thought crossed your mind that not everyone is so damn tribal? Some Americans actually do want whatever is best for this country rather than what is best for the political party they support.

Not a dang thing you post resembles this post.....nice try

Plus wages are going up for the moderately skilled.

I think a couple things are going on with wages:

Boomers are retiring roughly 10k per day. A lot of them are going to to be replaced by employees that aren’t on pension, PPO plan, retiree health, or at the upper end of the salary range. Some simply won’t be replaced. So the new person gets a raise but overall the cost of that position went down. Or the work gets divided up among a couple new hires and that’s a huge savings.

The dregs that are entering the low skill workforce now are people who couldn’t get a job two years ago. Consequently they aren’t commanding much of a wage.

Both of these contribute to holding wage growth down. The people in the middle and those with skills are doing fine.

This is rich. It's not something that will be fixed by turning American farming into a welfare industry.

You really have no clue. But thanks for going on the record condemning welfare. That’s something else that needs to be fixed.

CNBC's title is sensational. There are openings on the board of governors but filling them is not "taking control of the Federal Reserve". It's an independent body... and every indication we have seen is that more rate hikes are imminent.

...and for every "strategist" who thinks the President being publicly critical of the monetary policies of the Fed is appropriate, there are 10 economists who would find it outrageous.

So...

Should I cash out my kid's college funds because Trump is President and everything economic will crash after we go to war with everyone else in the world?

Asking for a friend.

Come on, man. You know me. No need for the hyperbole. I was just linking an interesting article.

I know and I know you're even keeled.

I just still chuckle at those who claimed the world was going to end when Trump was elected.

I don't care. The Federal Reserve is a corrupt private corporation.

I hope someday in my lifetime it ceases to exist.

LOL, you're going to be soo disappointed.

Pathetic how all of the Trump haters are hoping for him to fail.

If he fails it's bad for America.

It's not patriotic to want Trump to fail no matter how much you loathe the man.

I don't hope he fails, why would you say that?

You guys are just going to be sorely disappointed that an averaged quarter GDP doesn't translate to anything other than that quarter. I would have thought you guys remembered that after making sure to rub that in Obama's 4%+ quarters that fell woefully short.

Be honest. Were you cheering for Obama to succeed?

And before you pile on, I don't want Trump to fail. I do think he's a scumbag, though.
