I want to believe. In my mind it is equally likely we head to UGA 2-2, after one or two heartbreakers and a closer than expected game against UTEP.

My heart wants to believe we have a surprising amount of untapped talent that will make us the surprise team of the SEC. My head tells me Saban and Kirby had rough first years with some surprising losses and results, and there is nothing about our team or program in general that makes me think we should expect to avoid a similar fate.

All is not lost though. The state of Tennessee continues to produce more talent and I’m certain one day we will be respectable again. Could even be this year, but I’m not bettting on it.

So at all three levels 2013 FSU defensive 2-deep had

Unit | 5* | 4* | 3*
DL: 3 | 5 | 1
LB: 2 | 3 | 3
DB: 3 | 3 | 3
Tot: 8 | 11 | 7

I gave you a like because that's good info to have. But it just reinforces the fact that Pruitt's always had elite talent to work with.

I've only barely considered the idea that we may lose to Florida. I've half-considered the possibility of us losing to WVU.

Our talk about WVU kind of reminds me about Oregon in 2010(?).. Oregon was definitely scarier in hindsight compared to our perceptions of WVU today, mainly because WVU won't make the playoff under DH like Oregon did under Chip Kelly. That said, even given their slaw offensive performances against VT, Iowa St, Texsa, and Utah last year, I worry that we under-estimate them.

Florida... I simply can't stomach the thought of Mullen being better than 7-5 in his first year back.

No. He was the lone bright spot in the secondary for an extended period of time. There wasn't much else to be excited about.
Also, he's a guy who is going to be on NFL rosters for the next half-dozen years.

Seems like Tennessee fans might have just been ahead of the curve on Cam.

I will not waiver. Sutton was overrated by the fan base. He is not a lock down corner he was just better than any other DB we had...which isn't saying much
