We are an entitled, petty, barbaric country: Handicapped parking shooting

Interesting. Wonder if he has the video?

Owner, and I am not saying he is making anything up, has EXTREME pressure to side with the community on this one. His livelihood depends on it.
(channeling my internal defense attorney IF no video exists of the first encounter)

Wrong. Legally.

At the time her husband appears the shooter was three feet from her and arguing over the HC parking spot. While one can say that's being overbearing, it's not illegal, and the old guy was right about the illegal parking in a HC spot. He could have taken a photo of the car in the spot and called the cops to wtite a ticket for a ... what $ ....

OK..I looked it up for Tennessee. Evidently, so many folk don't take it seriously that in 2008 ...

What it comes down to is the young ABLE BODIED husband disrespected any HC person who might drive up and need that that spot. When he violently pushed the old guy down, he performed the illegal provocation.

You might say he pushed him down instead of hitting him with a closed fist, but the number two killer of seniors is the consequences of a fall. Brittle joint bones break. Hitting with a closed fist could kill many seniors with medical conditions for which a HC parking permit could be issued.

If the husband had kept his head and talked it through he'd be alive.

The shooter should not have completely unlimbered his weapon. There's the real crux of the issue. And he had the opportunity to not pull the trigger.

shooter was 47. not a senior.

Best lines ever...

“There were no other empty parking spots, so I parked in handicap ...I have the right to park anywhere I wanna park”

Wow..liar and entitled. Videos appear to show her bf walking in to the store with empty spaces available out front. Could this be used in any defense to call into question/discredit anything she says?

How can you say that. I believe this guy had already brandished a weapon in a previous altercation.

Apparently at the same place, over the same thing.

Indicates a pattern of behavior - he was looking for it and got it.

I can't imagine a jury taking this into account and coming to a conclusion of it being in the spirit of a legit SYG defense.

You can't shoot someone who is retreating. The fact that this is not clear to other 2A guys is scary.

The fact that you continually perpetuate your white guilt and refuse to see McGlockton’s posture and blind side hand movements, is scary.

I hope you are never tasked with serving on a jury!

Also, has the brand of firearm been disclosed? The irony if it was a Glock....

Please prove from the assaulted guys viewpoint on the ground that his attacker was retreating and did not appear to be reaching for a weapon..

The pause & step back lasted 1.5-2 seconds before we notice a victim reaction to the shot. Happened fast. Shooter may have never noticed pause/step back. We just don’t know.

By the way, does the shooter wear glasses? (Based on photos I’ve seen, yes)
Were they knocked off or sideways?
We’re they on? Near-sighted, far-sighted or legally blind without them?
