Special counsel Mueller charges 12 Russian intelligence officers with hacking Democra

Why did Clinton and Yeltsin meet privately?

Bush 43 and Putin?

Nixon and Mao?

Khrushchev and Kennedy?

Reagan and Gorbachev?

Did you ask the same question then?

None of them was the subject of intense inquiry as to linkage, financial relationships, possible blackmail, etc. None had campaign officials indicted for activities which at best made them subject to compromise. None fired the FBI director to try to head off investigation.

None has had the same concerns raised to the point political allies say there is clearly something nefarious going on.

This has been going on for a year and a half now. The narrative from the left the entire time has been Trump worked with the Russians to defeat Hillary.

To make that level of detailed accusation I'd think one would already have proof in hand. A year and a half ago remember.

This isn't a general accusation of "someone farted in the room". No this is "GV purposely ate Mexican for lunch with malice so he could stand next to LG's desk and let one rip."

Such a detailed accusation from the start would surely require proof or knowledge of such nefarious plans. Easily presentable documentation.

We can "what if" at this point and ask the question of whether Hillary should have met with Putin had she become President. Didn't the Clinton Foundation receive a rather large donation from interests inside of Russia? Could those contributions have potentially put her in a compromising position?

Or any number of foreign governments that contributed to said Foundation? Could she really be objective with someone who contributed millions of dollars into the Foundation?

This isn't a "but HILLARY!" comment, but rather a goose/gander situation. You can't say this about Trump without looking like a partisan **** and not seeing Hillary would be over the same barrel.

It's the way things were lining up. How much funding had they (the GOP) lined up for him during the primary? You don't get that kind of money lined up for a candidate you don't want as your general election candidate.

That's very True on the funding part. But we (the people) didn't want or care for another Bush or Clinton to win.

That's why I found it lol worthy.

Funny, Trump is right, but you and others can't see it.

Trump tells officials how Putin will respond to meddling question - CNNPolitics

President Donald Trump plans to raise the issue of election meddling in his summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin, but he told officials during his UK visit that he already knows Putin will again deny interference in the 2016 election -- and doesn't expect much progress, according to a source familiar with the discussion.

Trump signaled as much at a joint news conference Friday with British Prime Minister Theresa May.

"I will absolutely bring that up. I don't think you'll have any, 'Gee, I did it. I did it. You got me.' There won't be a Perry Mason here, I don't think, but you never know what happens, right? But I will absolutely, firmly ask the question," Trump said. "And hopefully, we'll have a very good relationship with Russia."

Do you honestly want the first private meeting of the two to lower into a "Did so!" "Did not!" match?

Never mind, of course you do...

I ask again, why do they need to meet alone?

What does Trump need to say to Putin that no one else can hear?

Why were we building a back channel to Russia, away from our intelligence community ability to monitor?

Just WTF is going on between Trump and Putin?

Steve Bannon is already there so he won't be alone..

None of that is actually going on for this president either

You are concerned about it.

Admit it.

I'm more concerned about where I can get this beer from.

Trump-Putin summit inspires beer called 'Let's Settle This Like Adults' | Fox News

Whether the upcoming Helsinki summit between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin accomplishes anything remains to be seen.

But a small Finnish craft brewery is hoping that the meeting helps sell beer.

RPS Brewing has issued a limited-edition lager depicting cartoon versions of the two leaders on its label, and called "Let's Settle This Like Adults."

A catchphrase at the bottom of the label says, "Making Lager Great Again."

Jeff Glor of CBS News just had an interview with Trump in Scotland, and he asked Trump who the biggest foe of the United States was globally right now ... and his response was? The European Union.

It's like Trump is following a script handed to him by Vladimir Putin now.

I'm not kidding. Trump really did say that. Can't wait to see what GV's incoherent defense of Trump will be for that.

GV loves the context.

Trump, in interview with CBS News, says "I think the European Union is a foe" ahead of Putin meeting in Helsinki - CBS News

"Well, I think we have a lot of foes. I think the European Union is a foe, what they do to us in trade. Now, you wouldn't think of the European Union, but they're a foe. Russia is foe in certain respects. China is a foe economically, certainly they are a foe. But that doesn't mean they are bad. It doesn't mean anything. It means that they are competitive," Mr. Trump said at his golf club in Turnberry, Scotland.

"I respect the leaders of those countries. But, in a trade sense, they've really taken advantage of us and many of those countries are in NATO and they weren't paying their bills," he added.

You are the ultimate click bait target for the left.......

Use all the context you like. An American President just called the European Union a foe ... that is just plain crazy.

Context | Definition of Context by Merriam-Webster

Context:

Noun.

1 : the parts of a discourse that surround a word or passage and can throw light on its meaning
2 : the interrelated conditions in which something exists or occurs

Which "context" I'm referring to would come under the first definition. Hence:

"Well, I think we have a lot of foes. I think the European Union is a foe, what they do to us in trade. Now, you wouldn't think of the European Union, but they're a foe.

"I respect the leaders of those countries. But, in a trade sense, they've really taken advantage of us and many of those countries are in NATO and they weren't paying their bills," he added.

Trump doesn't provide context to his answers most of the time, but the times he does it shows a reasonable thought even though some might not agree with it.

Are you denying the EU is an economic foe?

Listen crazy ass weirdo uncle LG. We really don’t need to hear about any more of your conspiracy theories. How about you just grab another Schlitz and go drink it out on the front porch ok? Thanks.

You know what would make me more pissed?

Finding out the election was rigged and clearly biased towards a "chosen one" during the primaries. And see, once you wade through the "muh Russia!" nonsense and election hacking and memes and the general election loss, that's what really matters.

Not to the DNC rank and file though. They keep trying to divert the attention away from the corrupt nonsense within their own party and towards Russia. Why?

So they can do it again. Probably get away with it again too since they have so many in a tizzy over the alleged Russia collusion narrative. Which is falling apart as each day goes by.

I'd dare say if you waded into the GOP emails on the subject, you'd find all sorts of nasty things said about Trump. And (extremely likely) how they wanted to promote Jeb into that top spot. The difference was, they had no choice but to allow the process to go as it went. It was a huge gamble they took in allowing the primary votes to choose the candidate even though there was a good chance the party would be split.

For sure it would have been split and they would have lost bigly had they usurped the voters and picked a Ted Cruz or Marco Rubio or Jeb Bush.

If the GOP were to act this way I’d probably never vote for another Republican President.
