Special counsel Mueller charges 12 Russian intelligence officers with hacking Democra

Now, this truly is head in sand. The Russians clearly did have a very strong preference for Trump over Hillary Clinton in 2016. I don't see how this can be denied any longer.

And Obama had an input into Israeli elections. A guy named Pahlavi was an actively backed US favorite in Iran once - that turned out well a few years back. Then there's a whole series of CIA "campaigns" in any number of banana republics to our south. Remember Voice of America? They did a bit of campaigning for US preferred candidates here and there.

People in glass houses shouldn't throw rocks. I'd worry when the Russians catch up with Democrats in actually manipulating elections - vapid social media hints don't count.

An effort that was known for quite some time and not cared about as the party in charge thought it was to their benefit.

Reps have tried for years to safeguard elections (voter ID), and Dims have repeatedly blocked those attempts - we can't step on the rights of even one voter even if the system is compromised by doing so. But lose an election and Dims lose what's left of their minds. Hint to Dims: freedom isn't free, and you actually have to work to keep your freedoms secure.

That's utterly ridiculous. The party in charge didn't respond accordingly because they didn't want to give the appearance of taking action in favor of Clinton ... and they thought she would win anyway.

...and quite some time? The full extent of Russia's aggressive tactics weren't known until late August - about 2 1/2 months before the election.

You know a lot of people have tried to explain to Dims for many years that you only find corruption and fraud when you look for it, but any Dim will always come back with "there's never been proof of election fraud" ... until now when their favorite nag lost a shoo-in.

I’m just sayin’, from a non-partisan perspective...
If the Mueller team is trying to be nonpartisan, why would they announce the Russian indictment days before Trump’s meeting with Putin?
Wierd at a minimum.

Former Assistant Sec. of State Robert Charles: "This president's been in office 570 days and it's a little bit odd that 3 days or 4 days before his first summit with the Russian leader, these indictments pour out."

It is very wierd. I know the left wants to believe that Mueller is investigating honestly without bias. But he is not. The left knows it deep down but they want to go to any lengths possible to get rid of a duly elected president Trump. Its actually quite sad.

This is so stupid. If Obama had said that Russia was responsible for the hacking of the DNC, the spreading of fake news stories on social media, as well as the hacking of Podesta's personal e-mails and the dissemination of those stolen e-mails (after being sufficiently weaponized) on WikiLeaks in effort to damage Clinton and aid Trump, some people would certainly have interpreted that as an effort to help the Clinton campaign and many would not have believed him anyway ... but he still should have done it.

Don't you remember the debate in Vegas, when Trump said that the hacks might have been done by Russia, but they might also have been done by China or some 400 lb guy sitting on his bed? He has defended Russia at every turn throughout this investigation and his sheep (such as yourself) have swallowed every bit of it.

Bless it......

Let me go ahead and change the parameters.

Had Obama gone to the world and stated the GOP had been hacked by Russians and those emails had shown a massive, systemic corruption to deny other candidates the chance at a nomination, what do you think would have happened?

Would the liberal media just "ho hum" and move along with something else? Or would they have gone all out on the matter damning the GOP at every turn?

Be careful in your answer. I want to see how hypocritical you can be.

Are you saying you do believe Mueller? Be careful with your answer, you may prove BB point.

Yup, hard to have any credibility when you said nothing about ACORN.

At no point in his rambling musings does he ever make a point. For crying out loud, his narrative has now shifted to "maybe they were trying to sway Senate elections and not get Tammy Duckworth elected!"

For real? I have no problem with the "what if" questions, but let's at least keep it out of the realm of stupidity.

Now, answer my question. Had roles been reversed and the GOP would have rigged the election in Trump's favor and gotten caught doing it, when (if ever) would the media have let that go?

Here's the problem Mick. Your side of the equation is grasping at straws at this point. The indictments (as reported by Rosenstein) show ZERO conclusion with US citizens. Your side takes that as a big:

YET!

And tries to grasp at any absurd theory they can to justify the situation as it stands.

No collusion by US individuals. Let that sink in. Go with the facts in hand and not some idiocy that allows you to continue living in denial that the sitting President of the United States is not going to be indicted, not going to be charged and foremost, not going to be impeached over this.

Trump's your President. He won fair and square. And do you really want to get into foreign powers meddling in others elections?

I would say it would be covered the same. I like the GOP process over the DNC. If that would have happened, you should be pissed. Actually I would be pissed as well.

You know what would make me more pissed?

Finding out the election was rigged and clearly biased towards a "chosen one" during the primaries. And see, once you wade through the "muh Russia!" nonsense and election hacking and memes and the general election loss, that's what really matters.

Not to the DNC rank and file though. They keep trying to divert the attention away from the corrupt nonsense within their own party and towards Russia. Why?

So they can do it again. Probably get away with it again too since they have so many in a tizzy over the alleged Russia collusion narrative. Which is falling apart as each day goes by.

I'd dare say if you waded into the GOP emails on the subject, you'd find all sorts of nasty things said about Trump. And (extremely likely) how they wanted to promote Jeb into that top spot. The difference was, they had no choice but to allow the process to go as it went. It was a huge gamble they took in allowing the primary votes to choose the candidate even though there was a good chance the party would be split.

For sure it would have been split and they would have lost bigly had they usurped the voters and picked a Ted Cruz or Marco Rubio or Jeb Bush.

The rank and file from the Republicans and the non rank and file from the Democrats gave us trump.

The Russian investigation has not fallen apart. It is moving right along. We all know what Russia's goal was and it was to infiltrate the Trump orbit for policy favorable to them. This is where the investigation is at this point, to see if they had success in their endeavors.

The Russia investigation as to Trump's involvement is getting less and less likely as time goes on.

And you know it, though you won't admit it.

But your party will keep blasting that narrative all the way through 2020 even if Mueller wraps it up by then. They'll play seven degrees of Kevin Bacon attempting to sway public opinion away from Trump. And that's not to say the GOP is not equally guilty of the same thing.

I ask again, why do they need to meet alone?

What does Trump need to say to Putin that no one else can hear?

Why were we building a back channel to Russia, away from our intelligence community ability to monitor?

Just WTF is going on between Trump and Putin?

We know the Russia-Trump campaign investigation started on no official intelligence, that the bulk of the unverified phony opposition dossier(s) formed the foundation. Too bad we cannot see the first paragraph of the inception investigation report that biased Strzok lead.

Why did Clinton and Yeltsin meet privately?

Bush 43 and Putin?

Nixon and Mao?

Khrushchev and Kennedy?

Reagan and Gorbachev?

Did you ask the same question then?
