Josh Dobbs (merged)

Hi, my real name is Jennifer Snatch. Pleased to me you. I'm a Scorpio. I like long walks on the beach, horseback riding, and guys who have a job. You may be disqualified!

My measurements are 38-24-36. I made $23,545.22 last year selling spackle, peanut butter, and car air fresheners.

My hobbies include saving the rain forest, meeting new people, and getting tattoos. My goal in life is to one day meet you and give you a kiss.

After parting tongues, would you explain to me why it is that there is so much consternation over such an... :loco:

D4H is like the party guest who stays long after the buffet is wreckage and everyone else has left. If you ignore them long enough, they find the door. :loco:

Let him out.

The handwriting was on the wall when they drafted Rudolph. This is not necessarily the end of Dobbs NFL career, hell Matt Simms hung around for 5 years for chrisakes. Nobody is cheering for him to wash out, he's just not an NFL QB.

Its a shame that people are acting like you all are and not upset about this. Would you all have acted like this if Peyton was on the chopping block? No, everyone here would have been very upset. The only difference was during Peytons years we had a lot more success. We could have had that when Dobbs was here if it wasnt for the horrible coaching calls and negligence of Butch. Dobbs carried this offense through all of that and made the most of it by keeping us in games we shouldn't have been in because of idiotic play calling amongst other things. He gave his all for this university and him and the other players that got cheated out of
championships and the opportunity to play professionally should be defended by us.

Take a gigantic deeeep breath. Now, start at post #1 and go post by post by post and see if a single one is trashing or making light of Josh Dobbs, the man. You may find something interesting. Not one post downs the actual man.

I've never ever met a single fan in person or on this board who didn't have a lot of respect for JD. And, whether folks personal opinion says he's not NFL material or he's HoF material, does NOT relate to ones respect.

Lesson: Never confuse making fun of the foibles of D4H with actually hating on Josh Dobbs himself. The two are totally unrelated.

Had me up until then...

Dobbs is a GREAT guy for sure. He is also super smart! He was great at UT in getting yards on broken plays or just freelancing. However, when teams made him play QB and forced the passing game, well things were not so good. I was very surprised he ever made a Pro team period. I wish him the very best, but I just don't think it will be as a Pro QB.

But that’s the effect of D4H......he’s so over the top that he makes you root against VFLs

Idiocy by someone else or on a message board has no effect and should not for rooting for a VFL.

Idiocy by the player/VFL (see drunk driving manslaughter etc) may or should.

If a message board fanboy makes you root against a genuine and good person like Dobbs, you need to get off the message board

"This is clear sign the wheels are falling off in Pittsburgh. They will not win another championship for the next 10-30 years. Dobbs will be the greatest QB in NFL history when it's all said and done, mark my words. Someone needs to be fired, Big Ben, something else. It's clear Pittsburgh is full of losers and isn't as great as me.. I know more than them, and any of you...."

Who am I?

Im sorry but no. You can be happy to rub something in someones face, who is a jerk, while also be upset about Dobbs not making it. These emotions are not singular and can run separately.

In fairness I always thought Dobbs had accuracy issues. But I would never not cheer for him. I would always wish him the best.

Then again my opinion doesn't matter and he is making millions while I am not. So obviously he did something right.

So yup.... I'll just go sit back in my corner.

That last sentence. Transfer that to the 2018 record prediction threads. Realistically I see another 4-8 with a one-game swing in either direction possible. No credit unless I'm exactly right.

I just cannot see a 4-8 season with this staff and a better roster than some fans acknowledge. That's pretty much saying we win 3 non conference games and only 1 win out of UK, Mizzou, Vandy, Fla and S.Carol. That sorry staff last year was 3 plays from being 7-5. We added more talent than we lost and our Coaching staff is a huge upgrade. 3 SEC wins and 6 regular season wins is the absolute worst case scenario. 7-8 wins plus 4-4 is well within reach. That's with my orange shades off and have seen some of the same prediction's made outside of Vol nation.

The Devil, I mean the D4H made me do this. Why honey, the Dobb Goblin will go to the Bills. On account their QBs not panning out much as hoped. Keep your hands off me! And your keyboard, uh-huh. See here sweetie, desperate to win, the Bisons people give Dobbs free reign to do what he does best, create plays while on-field. [spoken in Flip Wilson's Geraldine Jones' voice]

Did you not read or comprehend the post he was responding to?

I accidentally liked your post.
That’s not what I meant or point of what I said. I agree with not liking D4H responses. I will not root against Dobbs because of some guy online though. That’s petty and silly. Fade is just saying something to stir the pot anyway.

Someone not only predicted Dobbs to lead the Steelers to the playoffs this year, but also said he will go down as the greatest qb of all time. Delusional. This dude may not even make it two years in the league. I’m not happy about it, just stating facts. Go make that space money and protect yourself young Dobbs.

At this point, it would probably be good for him to get cut, and at least give him a chance to get picked up by another team.

If they wait until after pre-season to cut him, then it will likely be the end of his NFL career.

I doubt he gets picked up as a QB. Maybe some one will find a way to get the ball in his hands since he is a very good runner.

This could give him the opportunity to use his education and get on with his long term goals.
