I spoke yesterday with my Hispanic co-worker who lives in San Antonio and he said they charged him with theft of the hat, and set his bail or charge at $5K, iirc.


I asked him about the local populace and whether considered conservative and a pro-Trump, or Austin like, and he stated that he flies the American flag at his home and is asked by his community "why?"

Gained a lot of insight living here and have interacting with Hispanics on a daily basis. Most I would consider typical folk, including the illegals, just looking for a way to improve their lives and they do a lot of jobs that American workers do not even want or willing.


I ponder the legal immigrants to our nation in the past that celebrated their nationality, but at the same time proclaimed allegiance to our nation.


When Mexicans come to our nation and proclaim allegiance to another nation before the USA, the we have a problem.

I do not believe for one second that the two goofy looking teens were threatening anyone with violent talk to the point that a large adult felt the need to rip his hat off. It is a convenient excuse and then they admit they never saw the seen in question. I have lived in the South my entire life and that kind of talk is extremely rare. Much more rare than the Left would care to admit

IF the man in the video was provoked by racist language then there would be no need to hide, especially with other witnesses. I will reserve judgment but I do not believe. From the story, seems they did go public with the local station, and then started getting threatened. Then they requested anonymity.

Let's pretend this is true. I wasn't there, so who knows. But even if true, does it justify a 30 year old assaulting a 16 year old? I'd say no.

Maybe the kid did spit out some abhorrent words. Whether or not you agree with someone's views, they are still aloud to speak them. You espouse the First Amendment often, so remember, free speech applies even when you don't like what's being said.

Still, no excuse for stealing the kid's hat and verbally assaulting him. Just admit the guy was wrong and stop trying to find justification because you won't find it.
