Keep it classy libs....

Another example of China's "fair" and classy trade policies.

"Judge Orders Chinese Wind-Turbine Maker To Pay $59 Million For Stealing Trade Secrets"

Judge Orders Chinese Wind-Turbine Maker To Pay $59 Million For Stealing Trade Secrets : NPR

China ripped off the Russians by first licensing technology and manufacturing rights for military aircraft. Then after a couple of years, when they had stolen everything they needed, stopped paying the fees and kept building the aircraft. You don't play fair with people like that because they don't understand fair.

Trade “agreements” are silly anyway. The World is interconnected today more so than ever before. We are bound by agreements with nations that openly operate against our interests like China, Turkey, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, etc. Instead of evaluating each nation’s policies toward the US, politicians puff out their chests in the name of free trade; consequences be damned

China is a cancer but they are communist so the Left sympathizes with them. After all, according to the Left, we started this “trade war”. Chinese communism should have been destroyed during the Korean War

China hasn't been communist in quite a while. Closest thing I can think of is nationalistic socialism.

When you subscribe to the notion of an omniscient government, you can’t help but attack anyone who stands in the way of your benevolent provider. For the unhinged Left, Trump is more of an enemy to their zealotry than any other nation or group of people. That is why they have such an intense anger towards him and anyone who supports him. They would rather negotiate with ISIS than Trump because they have more in common with them than the President. They both hate the US, Israel, the Christian God, free speech, the military, and a non-biased press

Communism is a government system and an economic system. Their economic system has drifted from a pure communist system to more a mixed system but their government system is very much still communist, They do not have free elections when it comes to government leadership. It is still determined by the communist party

That isn't what defines communism.

It absolutely is what defines communism. There government is still very repressive with true power resting in the communist party leaders

That isn't what defines communism.

You're describing 999999999999 out of 1000000000000 forms of rule throughout history.

You couldn’t be more wrong if you tried. I have been there many times and have taught/teach Chinese history. The US, and nearly every major nation on the Earth does not have power resting in a single political party.

Congrats on going to China.

You're incorrect.

Don't try to ****ing tell me nationalism has never embraced a single party system.

dude, I don't even like communism.

You should actually know something about a system you don’t like. You aren’t very bright so I just assumed you were a liberal; my apologies. If I were you, I would go visit some Chinese work camps and inform them how weak you think the government is since it has allowed some private industry

I dont give a ******n **** what they call themselves. They are not communists. They're nationalists with some weird fascistic socialist economic hybrid.

FFS, communism is about the workers seizing means of production. That ain't China. That isn't even what they're pretending to shoot for anymore. THEY. ARE. NOT. COMMUNISTS.

Haha ok. Are you suggesting Mao’s government was formed by the workers seizing production? Or Lenin’s? Lenin was placed in power by the German’s during WWI and Mao’s through a civil war. You must have a copy of the communist manifesto espousing the rise of the proletariat

My entire point is that China isn't even pretending anymore. They've completely cast off any idea of communism.

Totalitarianism is not communism. Its just the same old reinvention of despotism that has plagued the world for hundreds of years.

I won’t argue that they aren’t extremely repressive. At no point has communism not morphed into totalitarianism once established but that is irrelevant in trying to suggest that they aren’t communist.

In my view, communism was never actually attempted. *******s co-opted a half-cocked economic theory, and used it to sow discord amongst native populations across the globe.

It worked pretty well in terms of the soviets spreading their influence by deluding peoples under european colonialism into believing they could overthrow their masters and use communism to thrive.

China isn't even doing that. They're a nationalistic bunch now, and thats basically all there is to it.

Hrm. Night shift comes in, tone completed changes in the thread. I'm having trouble telling who is just chest-thumping for show and who is actually drinking their own side's Kool-Aid.

If there's something disheartening to it all it's the level of extremes both sides ascribe to the other. Internet forums tend to represent the vocal minority, so that's one positive thing to latch on to in reading this.

But, Jesus H Christ on a crutch, be nice to each other for crying out loud. The people on the other side are humans who want the best for everyone. If you can't see that, no matter how vehemently you disagree with their position, then we're ****ed as a species.

I'm raising my children not to act like either side. If they grow up to be closed-minded know-it-alls who see no value in developing a comprehensive understanding of the other side's viewpoint and the ability to discuss it rationally, I've failed as a parent.

I haven't insulted anyone yet.
